Hello, I'm an SE vet since 2013 and I would like to say that time being the most important resource is crucial point that many players and even bigger factions don't understand. Thanks for making a nice short video about this idea.

oh yea I only play creative cuz I don't got time for the grind . I think the game had alot of potential but not enough players and not enough fun to be had. I want a game like ark survival but where you can travel to different planets that way you are harder to find and don't get wiped super fast

@@Redrum-707 lol you’re like me. I have 1500 hours in Ark and I only ever played singleplayer. Space engineers is amazing as is. The only thing SE needs is animal breeding and thirst/hunger and farming for it to be the perfect game for me. I hate Ark pvp cause you can’t really get creative with your base unless you are the king clan on your server. I play SE alone too. But it just has so much I was missing in Ark. like Ark is amazing but at around the 900 hour mark I spent most of my time modding out my shit to basically allow me to use a skiff as my main base. But Ark just isn’t designed for large flying vessels like that. If space engineers and Ark could just have a baby together already lol!

Too bad resource nodes are so small that it's no0t worth time setting up a base or stationary resource node once ya get to space, or even on planets. at a certian point I jsut end up with a massive main base, and a secondary resource gathering ship with subsidiary drones.

This is awesome. I started at a planet, and my biggest problem was not having metal grids. It just screwed me over, that I had to go around, trying to find ores, and not finding any. If I would've had small drones and a mapping system, I could've just kept producing them, and let them map everything. As I was able to mine gravel and make a lot of iron, and such, that was needed for the drones.

On my modded game I have a ship factory hooked to a ship railgun, it produces a grid of several large cargo containers, minimal items to run and a automatic parachute. I put it at a mining site off world like the moon and have it throw cargo ships at earth where it will land near my base for me to collect, the only thin I do is get a special buggy to collect the cargo ships and drive them into a facility. The facility would drain the resources and deconstruct the container itself

PAM is absolutely amazing. I have used it for years. It can do just about any thing , mining? no problem, transport? got you covered, grinding? oh yea. I find it can handle vertical mining better the horizontal but if you make sure to have adequate thrust for the angel with a full load then you will be fine. There are a number of other transport scrips out there but some use antennas to find docking ports and if you run with revers then antennas are bad.

Please do! I love drones and have made a few myself to help with tasks. All my friends personal world he had an automated mining outpost over an ore deposit but he kept on having to drive up a dangerous hill and back down crashing his vehicle multiple times. It was an atmospheric drone that could basically deliver cargo once set up so he did not have to take the dangerous journey anymore. We don't have the world anymore as he got a new computer but I still have the full design and even have some interplanetary transport vehicles I've been experimenting with.

Good method we can all agree there. Now to poke a hole, pending on the server you play on this will not work because of how SE functions in that if a grid gets too far from players it'll "freeze" to save performance. In single player this shouldn't be a problem through.

I think this drone system is a lot better than our early Space to Planet transportation. Aka drop it out at 100km/h, in 5k chunks, and wait till they impact around the base. Or in it. I trust, that a drone will do 9 out of 10 times the transport well, while being expandable. Instead of wasting our times, and maybe blowing up, wasting more of our time.

Can they use junk drives, or do they just have to fly between planets the slow way? If that’s the case then they are probably wasting a lot of fuel on flying through space when they could just coast. I don’t think I have any ship blueprints that have the hydrogen fuel capacity to fly between planets without jumping or coasting.

I would note that people using this for multiplayer should not forget about concealment distance/ auto-stop distance from player depending on server settings.

There is such area which depends on the server you are playing on. However I was able to establish a connection from earth to the moon. From what I know there are many servers on which something like that wouldn't be possible.
