This entire song is perfect. The intro still gives me chills, 40+ years after first hearing it.

@@tommac2014 In North America, yes...they've played a few shows in Europe over the last year.

This proves Ed was the king of writing a simple melody that sounds so awesome. It's what separates him from all other players.

DOA is my favorite right now. Just played it at a gig weekend before last! ✌️😎🎸🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶

Women in Love is, for me, absolutely the ultimate signature Van Halen riff...and song. So soulful and full of life.

Women in Love and Light Up the Sky were always my 2 favorite to play.

Rob's like "I am not breaking out the Allen wrench and tuning for longer than the video will be, just to have to tune back to standard, my viewers can learn just as well in standard tuning" I love how "Eddie Being Awesome" is included in what did we cover today, as if it's theory" 🤣 Rob's too awesome, such a character! Badass guitar player and super fun and positive! Tabs- ✔️ tutorial w/tabs - ✔️ Frankenstrat, (of course!) ✔️ Taking us out bluesy VH style.... what? Oh yeah.... ✔️ ✌️♥️🎸🎶🤣🙏

The opening part of the song with the delay is a masterpiece. The second part with the open harmonics is classic EVH. THEN...there's the song?!? Only in the late 70s. Always appreciated!

oh! oh! oh! Nobody talks about how when he covers a song, his rhythm playing is simple BUT FREAKING AMAZING (as when he plays his own stuff). ESPECIALLY, "You're No Good", "Dancing in the Streets", "Pretty Woman". 😱! I read a long time ago that he took a long time to come up with something to make the songs he covered more "Van Halen". You can definitely hear it! These songs, you'd NEVER think they could ever have the Van Halen feel. He put that "EVH" feel to it, and u never ever doubted it. MISS THAT GUY SO BADLY!!!

Over the 40 years of playing EVH, I've stopped attempting to "copy" what is not Xeroxable. Eddie himself has said he adds nuance(s) to everything, and most of his material comes from mistakes.

We’ve been told time and time again, you never know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone. RIP Eddie!

This song is one of my favorites. I finally see someone talking about this song! I used to play it and the complete intro with chord taps and that cool one repeat echo This I wanna see you playing. It's not that hard to play, but it sounds amazing. Regards from Rio!

I know in a past video you’ve said you like heavier strings but what do you prefer on your tremolo style guitars like this one? Do you drop to 10s or go right to 9s for that EVH feel

eddies playing was to me based on no open gaps in the music as being the only guitar in the band... much like a piano player has to fluid in the notes chords etc... just my thoughts.. not unlike vitto bratta in white lion..

Once you start learning randy rhoads solos and zakk Wylde you realize how easy Hendrix and Eddie really are. Ahead of their time?! Yes. But now they're not what anyone would call "hard". Crazy how much all our playings evolved over just a short amount of time. I see ppl all day on here that just blows my mind and makes me proud of how far we've pushed the guitar. Can't wait to see the tricks we're all learning in the next decade
