@@eeveefan132 It doesn't need work. Any person can run a good business if they know what they're doing. Anything outside that is implying black people cannot run good businesses because they are black. The term itself is no better, a race business. That implies the race comes first, business comes second. So if business becomes second, that implies major business decisions will be looked over to maintain the priority, race. Let's say hypothetically we run a business purely on race and I'm looking for a black individual to be my head chef. The darker, the better to fit the motif of a black business. And let's say six people applied: one is white with six months experience, two are light skinned cats with good resumes with two years of experience, one guy who is really dark has no experience, and the other two are darker than the light skins but lighter than the dark one, but with five years of experience. By racial dynamics, I have to hire the darker person because he is more marginalized than the others who has, "Attributes of whiteness," in terms of not being black enough in appearance and life experience. What do you think is going to happen when you put someone with zero years of experience in a position such as head chef?

I think Leon's right about the contract. That company is producing the sauce and shipping it with their own money. So maybe the contract said that the product had to sell past a certain number of units before she can start seeing any money. It's probably underselling so that company is trying to recoup it's losses. She was most likely thinking about how much fame and money she was gonna get that she just signed it all away and not read the damn thing.

I also thought that was insane. "This is her livelihood" - okay, but what if it was a member of the FDA who bought a bottle and tested it? Would it somehow be more morally correct for them to shut her business down? IMO she did her a favor by only posting it to social media and not suing her outright.
I refuse to support "black owned" business! Ill support small business, no matter who owns it, as long as your race/gender/sexual preference/etc isnt your identity...
It’s ironic how she told the first woman that got roasted on that show that she should have contacted her privately and (I’m paraphrasing) “listen sis, here’s what you need to do…”, and then later when the woman who is a business coach/owner and who’s grandfather created Mutts Sauce tries to do that VERY THING, she catches 10 kinds of hell for it online. It’s scary how a woman is creating a sauce product in her living room, no correct FDA labeling - anything and still doesn’t realize that her failure did her a favor. If anyone had gotten bad sick from the product she could have faced not only a lawsuit for monetary damages, but criminal charges as well. But it’s everyone else’s fault but hers. (BTW, I haven’t tried Mutts Sauce, but after seeing this I want to.)
I remember seeing the pink sauce weeks ago at Walmart. After me and my brothers saw Oppenheimer on 70MM, we decided to go to Walmart. We look into tons of items and I noticed the Pink Sauce. This subject has been coming up quite a bit lately. I was watching a video of a black woman, talking about the pressure to support black business but feeling taken advantage of. Guilting other black people to support your business but it's way more expensive and the quality isn't up to par. The comments were rough. A guy did a follow up video and said the real problem was she was broke and just needed to make more money. It is really asking for special treatment and lower standards just because you are black. So I work hard for my money but you expect me to come buy your products that are way more expensive and no better than the cheaper alternatives down the road. That's just insane. That pink sauce lady was just rachet and ghetto. That wack ass talk show was insane. That was all about race. The audience, host, her. That was just insanity. Putting it all on that white woman. You act like that and you can't possibly succeed. A lot of people do this though. I've seen quite a few people start a small business and expect everyone who knows them to automatically use their services. A guy will start a remodel company. Barely on his feet. Guilt the friend who needs some work done. They want to go with a more reputable company but they Guilt them. So they choose the friend. He is way too expensive. Botches the job. It goes bad and both parties are unhappy and it ruins the friendship.

So not only is the lady beyond all reproach but you must also work damage control for this woman for scott free in the hopes she'll change. She had better be lucky no way ate a tainted sauce and died.
I'd bet the contract had a clause that there are no royalties until there is profit. If you sell a product for $2 that costs 1$ to make but costs 1$ to ship then you profit is 0. Profit is not made until all costs are accounted for that include marketing, stocking, manufacturing, bottling, packaging, shipping, storing, paying the accountant, manager, bottlers, packagers, shippers, taxes, and a number of other overhead costs which in this case could have included lawyers for defense of a lawsuit Maybe you should take a course on Business before you start one.
Something told me this was gonna happen sooner or later... Especially her attitude told anyone giving her critiques
Always get a lawyer to explain those contracts that are offered to you
puts all of her eggs in one basket* Sells it all* "gimme all of my money that im owed for not paying for my rent"
Remember: The people barking loudest in support of the pink sauce lady most likely don’t have a bottle of pink sauce in their home, nor have they ever.
I haven't heard of Mutt Sauce, but I am intrested in finding some at a store now.
Anybody else find it curious that the goal of her GoFundMe is $100,000? I get that she's probably looking for some money for an attorney as well as living expenses, but 100 GRAND?!?!?! Sounds like she's trying to be "balling on somebody else's budget".
Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person
criticism is racist..everything is racist...it's used as a shield against everything they don't like but thankfully Leon still has a great channel through it all lol
Should have read the contract. 😂😂😂. I don't feel bad. Especially when she had such an awful attitude
Someone just needs to hold her hand and let her know she isn't special.
That talk show host was so wrong for what he said in the first interview. Then 4 months later he apologized for it. The girl who bought the product and complained about it had every right to do so. She spent $20 for a bottle of crappy pink sauce and left her feedback. Just like millions of people do every day on other products. Pink sauce lady was just salty because she was getting negative reviews. Instead of using the constructive criticism as a way to improve her product or try and make things right she just doubled down on saying how right she was. And in that video she didn’t even know who the FDA was 😳 now she’s broke and is acting for money? Maybe if she’d been more gracious in the beginning people would help her out. Good luck with that pinky.

This lady could have killed someone, the way she was packaging and mailing out her sauce!
I wonder what money she spent on advertising and what it was for (trips, fingernails, clothes?)? Do you really think she got shorted by the company that manufactured it and got it in Walmart (that ain't cheap!)? Does anyone else want to see where she lives (I'm guessing it's flashy and she expects to keep living there despite not paying rent for the last 6 months)? Why can't she get a job that pays her at least $20 a week so her disabled mom can buy food for herself instead of Pinky and her kids?
Chef Pi is the perfect example why not everyone is cut to be a businesses owner. If you see criticism as a personal attack, you are not made to be a businesses owner. It's YOUR job to make sure your product is safe and attractive to the public, not the customers job.
The pink sauce was never gonna be a lucrative business. People who had the sauce said it didn't taste that good, it was like a sweet ranch sauce. Nothing new. And it only got popular because it was a meme. When the meme died so did the sales just like everyone else who tried to make money off a meme Also the "mistakes" she was making could have definitely killed someone. Thats not a mistake. Thats negligence and dangerous and needed to be stopped.
If someone needs to tell you to safely produce commercial food products you have ZERO business making any food products.
I've seen Pink sauce at Walmart. It appeared to only be pink in name - looked kinda like ranch.
Who knows where that sauce has been
Just ordered some Mutts sauce. Glad to support a veteran owned business that's doing things right.
I'm sure Dave's Gourmet probably pulled some strings to get it into Walmart, and they needed to sell so many of them. I agree that she probably didn't read the contract she signed with them, and they put something in that contract to cover their asses if this whole thing failed or they just paid her an amount upfront to use the branding or something and she would only get certain amounts after however many units would be sold

It really, really sucks for the employee because, they now have to face unemployment on top of medical bills that Walmart lawyers will block you from ever daring to consider suing for. Every Walmart near me has had the pink sauce in clearance for $2-$4 depending on how close to the major city the location was. I actually bought a bottle, mostly because it was reviewed as mostly being a ranch type sauce and I always love a ranch sauce. The sauce wasn't bad, the bottle was well sealed, in the best buy date, not neon pink, but more pink than some videos I have seen, but the flavor was desperately missing. It kind of just tastes like if La Croix made a ranch flavor; someone thought about ranch and told someone else how ranch should taste.
