Don't stop, regulate (slow progress is everything)

In this video we're talking about the power of regulating your nervous-system when you start something new or implement a new activity into your life. Sometimes we take all our courage to get started but then stop again because it feels exhausting or tiring or even too scary to keep going. That's why it's so powerful to get to know your nervous-system and tendencies of responding to meeting your growth edge. Instead of stopping completely, you can gradually grow by consulting and regulating your system.
(Scroll down for 1:1 Support and Group Sessions)
In the video I mention a few resources that are easy to access:
1. Journal about your tendencies and what would support you to keep going - slowly but steadily.
2. Try this sound meditation "rest and receive" to help you take a pause and calm your nervous-system (listen with headphones)
• Rest & Restore Sound Bath
3. Check out the book "atomic habits" to learn about the power of slow progress.
Share with me below how you feel about trusting others to hold you or support you.
With love, Vanessa.

Interesting, thanks. A Sherpa once told me about walking long distances: 'walk as slow as you wish but never stop'

You are just spot on...I'm learning Chinese and this was my approach and its working. I got it from this quote... "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." Confucius

Thanks for sharing @hoppypoppy950 you're so welcome and I believe you can make it through - whatever it is. Hold on to whatever gives you strength and never let it go. Allow yourself to feel and even fall apart sometimes. But also remember, you can do this. Sending you all the best.

Dear @Qingamer thanks for sharing so vulnerably about the difficult time you're going through. I understand that the drinking and eating may may feel like a temporary relief or may even help you numb the pain and feel supportive in the moment. But I also want to invite you to grief, even if it's hard, even if it hurts. Find a 12step support group, a grief therapist or any other way that would support you to process your loss. It's ok to fall apart, it really is, and so is asking for help. I'm sure your wife would love for you to live on for the both of you. Sending you all the best
