yeah i know right! Minecraft, geometry dash and even dont starve itself have all felt much less fun on pc for some reason, but i cant pinpoint why! ​@ValiThe

@@Purplex08 I think it’s because it takes a while to get into a game along with the fact you can’t just simply click a button or drag something in order to move or use stuff. You instead got all those keys and mouse you gotta mess around with.

@@pixelcat29 yeah, i think youre right! also, random sidenote, i think the only game where i believe it is more fun on to play on PC is "Terraria" due to mods only being accessible there as well as mobility being really big factors against the bosses in game thanks for listening to my ted talk

Dont worry about bashing on the mobile version, honestly deserves it 😂. Even though ipad doesnt have the obnoxious inventory problem, I have crazy glitches on all worlds: Deerclops, bearger, dragonfly never show up, and cave seasons are reversed. Summer outside? Winter in caves so freezing. Autumn outside? Infinite rain in caves like its spring. And then sometimes the ruins reverses the cave so its from autumn to spring back to autumn

Thats insane! iv personally never had that cave glitch, but it does seem really interesting! (as well as annoying -_-) a reocurring glitch that happens is sometimes my screen turns purple or really any colour, statics out for like 3 seconds and then turns back to normal randomly when i play, its like the game has a seizure or something and it honestly always scares me when it happens xD as for bosses not spawning, that HAS happened to me and its incredibly annoying when you play as WX preparing for spring, and deerclops nopes out xD

In the regular version of Don't starve, you are almost always at a disadvantage in combat as well, unless you're playing as wigfred or Wolfgang. Combat is meant to be like and don't starve.

yeah, not to mention the weapons the game gives you are inherently cowardly, that coupled with the sanity drain you get from most monsters means that combat should almost always be your last resort, even if it IS easiest

Build walls after your structures. It's like that on the regular version too.

My dad has over 400 days in the mobile version 💀

Also, some of the footage you used in this video is from Don't starve together, not don't starve, don't starve together. Is the sequel hints that two-gether. You're also going after Charlie and that is so together is together, two-gether, and to-get-her

It costed five on switch, at least a few years ago when I got it

good video i love the transitions maybe make them last less time and everything makes sense but i spend most of the time hearing your voice and how cute it is then actualy trying to understand what you saying :3

I played Don't starve on PS4 for years and I can confirm that the mobile version is almost exactly like the version I have on my PS4 minus the way the controls are configured as well as not having access to shipwrecked or Hamlet.

good video! I think the transitions between sections are both too numerous and too long for this length of video. Most of the time, you've already done a great job transitioning to the next section in your voiceover, and you don't need a dramatic pause of anticipating what you're going to talk about next, since you've already just told us. There's about as many transitions as you would find in an hour long video essay, which really breaks up the flow of the video. You're pretty good at writing the transitions, you should allow them to carry the flow on their own.

DS mobile is miserable. I used to play that version because I had no other option and its just sad.

ah well, the game certainly isnt for everyone, but for its price and simplicity id still say its better than most mobile games

no judgement at all! im pretty much the same, although i do find it easier to play on my phone

Please never buy the switch "together" version.You get 20 fps, it takes a lethal amount of time to go through sinkholes, imput lag, no chat, broken servers, server sided everything (even when in a one person server), and it just randomly crashes.

yeah, switch together is pretty bad and not worth it for portability, better of just buying the singelplayer version

I love ds mobile but how do you keep your saves when changing to other phone? There's no cloud save feature and the game's save is supposedly stored somewhere that you need root to access them

sadly rooting your phone is a must, iv seen plenty of ways to do so but it seems a rooted phone is needed in all scenarios if youre completely replacing a phone it might be worth it to give rooting your phone a shot, as that is the only difficult part of the transfer (there are plenty of tutorials online which i would show but i cant post links unfortunately) but other than that it is sadly impossible :(

There is a lot of bad thing anout the pocket edition version but the most is the bosses there is literally no bea Queen no ant lion the dragon fly spawnes randomly near to you and sometimes doesn't spawn the same as the dearcloops i played 260 days and have meet him once 🗿 without talking about eye of terror the twins there is literally no lunar island 😂💀

I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m not the first to say this here, but the major reason the other versions are preferred is because of Don’t Starve *Together.* Built-in ROG, a shipwrecked mod approved by klei themselves (i’m pretty sure, anyway), and more content that singleplayer doesn’t have. But if we’re talking singleplayer only, yeah i can see why some would prefer mobile. Especially when Apple Arcade exists and you can get DS pocket+ on there if you’re subbed.

As a super heavy don't start player. One thing I really want is a pocket version of Hamlet but it'll probably never happen.

yeah id love to play it, hopefully klei feels like it but chances are really slim

I never played don’t starve mobile but I think if I played it I would get bored after 150 day or so because I think the charm with solo don’t starve is that you can go form DLC to DLC and build a cool base with all the resources from the other world but sadly you can’t do that on mobile and you can’t play hamlet (which is my favorite DLC)but after all I didn’t try it and it would I think be my opinion of the game on this platform if I played it also great video 😀

Plus in the Switch version you Can get the Hamlet dlc on the same game

unfortunately not, theres no way (as of now) to save data from cloud. The only way to do so is by using an android and rooting it, other than that you sadly cannot transfer your data :(
