I think the MV was about JK having a pen pal or a girl he likes who lives far away.. and he's working real hard trying to make enough money to go see her. But the other boys find out about it and work extra hours together so they can together afford and give him the plane or train ticket towards the end. It's such a wholesome story :)

Exactly! When Jin gave him the plane tickets, JK's eyes lit up and he was so grateful. But the beautiful thing was how happy they were to be able to do this thing for him. Loved it!

I love how they gave him the ticket and watched as he got excited and left. Then they immediately collapsed with exhaustion from the extra work they put in. That's love doing so much for those you love and not showing how much effort it took because you want them to go with joy and not feel bad.

This was such a beautiful story of love and friendship. The guys took on all those jobs throughout the MV so they could surprise JK with a ticket to go see his girl. Big brother love.

So basically the story of the song is Jungkook has a long distance relationship with this girl, he wants to go to her but he doesn't have enough money so he tries to earn them by working. He didn't tell the other boys but they still were able to know about it in secret, so they decided to help JK by working odd jobs themselves to earn the money JK needed. At the end they were able to buy the ticket and surprised JK with it which enabled him to fly overseas and meet the girl he loved at the end. Such a heart warming song and mv.

For you is such a hidden gem. It still puzzled me why this song is so underrated. The song and the choreo are so beautiful ! I wish more people would check this out.

It's not hidden though. It's literally in one of their Japanese albums. This is why i always advice potential ARMYs to start from the 1st albums up to the most recent. And never skip the mini albums and Japanese albums in between. Just consume all of them as they came out in the timeline. Real best eay not to miss any album, song, content, info, etc.

Too perfect. It's like how Kang Daesung sings all his solo work from Bigbang in Japanese, he is legendary there. They made a waffle iron that imprints his nose and mouth

I think the word Jin is saying is "kokoro" which means "heart" or "mind" in Japanese.

I always watch the dance version of this song, included on my Top10 MV. I just find Hobi's feet so satisfying to watch. He looks so effortless doing those fast intricate footwork ~ so smooth!

It's like a love song for long distance relationship..... in this case it's for Japanese ARMYs coz of course BTS is in korea and all...like we can see in this video JK travelled to see his "GF" & his hyungs helped him to buy the ticket by working part time jobs 💜

Idk, their cover of Shinhwa's *Perfect Man* was their epitome classic boy band for me 😆 It gave me serious BSB/NSync vibes. But this is definitely another one too 🤭

The mv is all the members worked hard to help surprise JK with a ticket to see the girl he was writing to . The jobs they had does have similarities to the bu storyline but this mv is not related to the bu. If anything this is the happy version of it 😅 They all dance really nice in it but jimin does it so smooth love seeing him dance it in the live version.

One of my favorite choreos everrrrr. And not everyone reacts to the dance version, so thank you!! They’ve also done this live a few times if you want to check it out.

I definitely agree with AJJ. They are so exciting to watch. I always prefer to watch the dance practice videos because you get to see everything. But I couldn't stop looking at JIN. He made me proud. And this video was one of their earliest videos. If they were to perform this today, you'd be able to see the difference between then and now. And yes JK owned this song. Vocals were on point. My younger coworker had a bagel thrown through the window back at her because she didn't char the bagel enough (it was already blackened as requested and he said she needed to cook it more). I immediately told him that was an inappropriate way to handle it and he flipped me off and then drove off without his replacement bagel. We also had people steal our tips right in front of us out of cup in drive thru too and drive off. You also see the good side of people too though. We had a chain of 23 people who paid for the order behind them on one Saturday, and would get an average chain of 9 or 10 on Saturdays too. This was in Southern Vermont btw. Had some of the greatest customers ever there. They actually gave me a "going away" party (yes, the customers) and gave me cards and gifts and stuff.

The dance video is so satisfying to watch, and wildly impressive as always--I mean, it's BTS--but can we take a moment to appreciate the story in the official music video? It's so cute, everyone noticing how tired JK was from working and then secretly pitching in so he could go to Japan to meet his girlfriend. All the big brothers taking care of the baby:)

For You is their first Japanese song. It's special. That's why every time they have concerts/fan meet in Japan, the audience will sing this for them during the break.

i just noticed! at the end of the choreo when JK is walking backwards through the formation, the way the others move around him, it's the reverse of the opening part of the choreo! they do it all backwards, that's wild

if you notice, they all work the same jobs as in other mv's and the love yourself series with the girls. joon is in the same gas station. tae is working the convenience store the girl steals from. and yoongi was doing his real job that he injured his shoulder in. it's another one of the bts universe theory

For You is such a beautiful Japanese track in every way; storyline, poetry, melody, instrumental, choreo but best of all imho, the live performance is the icing on the cake. To watch our angel JIMIN glide across the stage effortlessly and gracefully after the 2nd chorus part is my most favourite thing to watch for this masterpiece.

The older Japanese songs never had subs because their old Japanese label didn't care about the international audience at all. But the meaning of this one is pretty clear from the video. JK wanted to go to Japan to see his girlfriend, but didn't have the funds despite his adorable job. The boys work to raise money for his plane ticket, and JK meets her in Japan at the end. So sweet. I absolutely love the choreo for this song. One thing: please turn off any subs that are auto generated. They'll always be wrong. 💜

I'm obsessed with this choreo, it's one of my faves. I love the little details and how they dance along to the piano keys, it's gentle and beautiful but precise and sharp. Breathtaking.

One of my all time favorite videos by them. I especially love the part when Hobi is singing and if you watch Jimin he goes all the way over to the other side and he seriously looks like he's ice skating when he comes back, such incredible talent, choreo just everything they do keeps me in awe and in love with them. I've seen these videos so many times & I love this song even more everytime I hear it.

I always say this whenever I see vids of BTS' Japanese songs. Jin owns their Japanese songs.

I am no dancer, but after watching BTS and many groups over my 60 years, what I will say about BTS, is that the fast songs with harder choreography is not as hard as slow songs like this where every position and movement is so obvious that any error would stand out! However, as they are in the harder choreographies ie DNA, Dionysus, On...etc....they are completely flawless. My mind continues to be boggled by them and they continue to take me to a deferent level of respect every time I see them. Having had the immense honor of meeting them, I will say they are every bit as engaging to individual people as they are to a crowd of 70,000! You literally can’t take your eyes off of them and they smile and laugh and understand what you are saying in your English accented broken Korean. (I don’t know if you guys have time, but Learn Korean with BTS or now Tiny Tan(which has been improved) is well worth it. Also learn the sounds of Hangul, forget the romanized interpretations as you will get better pronunciation methods.) Now, if the dang Covid would go away so I can enjoy my floor seats and sound check pass at the Rose Bowl with my eldest granddaughter, my life will be complete! Well, at least for now.

This song is so sweet and cute. The choreo is simple yet complicated if you look at it a different way also the story behind the lyrics and MV is so sweet that it should be in a k drama. Also the vocals are amazing yet again and this song is a really underpriciated song but it's just so beautifully written
