Typical cycle - new player comes in, needs to learn all the controls/roles/buy menu options from scratch. They inevitably discover some basic game commands, role abilities and/or buy menu items that all the regular Yog team completely forgot about and haven't touched for months. As usual this discovery will last for a few sessions and then everyone will forget about it again.

True story with estrogen affecting vision like that. My partner had made mention of colors becoming far more vibrant after each injection, and they would fade back over the course of the week. She eventually got used to it, but it was great fun showing her exceptionally colorful things once it hit her system and seeing her eyes get big with wonder as a reaction to it.

Regarding the pizza casserole, I used to work at a pizza place, and the diabetic owner loved pizza but couldn't really eat it cuz of the carbs. So she used to make "Slop" which was everything on a pizza minus the dough, thrown in to a tin dinner tray and stuck in the oven to cook like a pizza. That stuff was quite good, still awful for you, but had a lot less carbs.
