    Fantastic video: I made a few custom video clips at 2min, 1min and 30s and run them from the playoutbee

    I've been using OBS running from my MacBook. Set up a countdown timer with custom slide show and original music, then set up Companion to trigger it exactly 5 minutes before my daily show starts. So it runs right on time, and I can start the actual stream any time in those 5 minutes.

    Hey Aaron, I made a countdown timer in Canva, and added music that was pre-approved for unlicensed use on KZread. Canva has a few Countdowns you can choose from, and I got a nice video of a fire burning, to give a…campy feel. I then downloaded this on my iPad and plugged it into my Atem (which you taught me how to use!!!). Keep up the great work.

    Hi Aaron. Great video! What I like doing is to create a pre-show countdown/welcome video clip by recording Big Timer counting down for 5 minutes or so and then in FCP scale it down, put a border on it and position where I want it in an opening welcome title slide card with client logo, graphics, text ("The Live Stream will begin soon...Thank you for joining"), etc. and music.

    This is helpful. My idea is to put the hdmi output of the Yolobox into the Atem Mini Extreme. This means that I can have a countdown, graphics, video and music. I also would have the ability to put the insta360 link into the Atem - although there would be a small delay. What do you think? Thanks again for the countdown ideas. David

    Countdown timers are great but sometimes you do want to start on the dot for whatever reason, and that’s where auto start can be useful.

    Question - I want to be able to live stream with the Yolobox Pro and use the client Fb/KZread account to stream to their platform. I don't know if you made a video on that. Any easy way to set that up and store their information for future broadcast? Also, When I power off a camera and turn it back on, the Yolobox is looking for that HDMI input on the Yolobox. Anyway to fix this so I can see the input feed without having to restart the Yolobox? Thanks for your great videos!

  • @aaronpk

    @aaronpk

    Жыл бұрын

    You should be able to unplug the HDMI and plug it back in to clear that up without restarting the whole thing. As for streaming to your clients pages, you can either have your clients add your own Facebook/KZread accounts to theirs and give you permission to manage the accounts, and then you can add them to the YoloBox by logging in with your account. Or you can treat them as generic RTMP destinations and get the stream keys from the client. Good idea for a video though!

    anyone know if you could use an elgato camlink 4k pro for webcam live streams on all 4 ports and do the switching in software to keep 4k? don't really want to invest in an ATEM when im already invested in 4k cameras.

  • @aaronpk

    @aaronpk

    Жыл бұрын

    do you mean all 4 ports of your computer? You could in theory connect 4 camlinks to your computer on 4 USB ports, but you're going to have to have a pretty beefy computer to handle that amount of bandwidth on the USB bus. Running them through a USB hub probably won't work either, you'll need a more direct connection to the motherboard.

  • @tangodown2721

    @@aaronpk Yea I understand the bandwith of multiple USB camlinks is not ideal. I'm taking about the Elgato Cam Link Pro which is an internal capture card direct to PCIE with 4 HDMI inputs. It seems to suggest you could run 4 cams at 2160p30. Then just use another keyboard to hot key all your switching etc or a steam deck. hard to find much content on it but seems to be a pretty reasonable way to have a 4k workflow with 4k multiple cams.

    @@tangodown2721 ah gotcha, I forgot they had that. Probably will work fine, but I personally don't want to invest in that path because it also requires a desktop computer capable enough to handle all that video bandwidth plus I'm just not really a fan of using Windows 🙂

    The problem with the live streams at my work is that it is a church where they aren't too fussed about exactly when they start. I think that they are so used to having the people in the room see that they are getting ready to start that they have forgotten the stream. (There's also a zoom call but there's lots of chat on that.) They also prefer to have live music (the organist or a pianist) playing with a static slide showing. As I was typing this the minister walked past (she'd been speaking to people in the street outside who are queueing to see the queen's coffin and crown just up the road). I pointed out to her how scrappy the start of our streams are and suggested alternatives. I think there may be a policy change in the making. Now all I've got to do is make it simple enough for all the volunteers who are here on Sundays to work them!

  • @aaronpk

    @aaronpk

    Жыл бұрын

    ooh great example! In that case I would still suggest using something other than a static image, maybe some scrolling text at the very least.
