Great video. I 100% agree. I’m here in Arizona (North Mesa) and have nine mangos. Sticker shock on the larger sizes but the best way to go. I have the same experiences with the smaller sizes.
Thanks for the info. Great video.
Thanks for the information. I'm trying to grow mangoes here in my desert land in California.

Social worker met a minister Sears Good Luck!
I just started germinating a Mango seed. Hi from OH, planning on moving to AZ I want to take the plant with me.
Love it i have been trying to grow one from a cuting do you have any cutting you sell me
It sounds like you would greatly benefit from watching Dr. Richard Campbell's videos on how to turn a mango tree into a bush for maximum production. Your trees need to be more compact for your situation. You need to cover them for the winter.
All you said is so trues. Both my 3 gallons are growing like bushes, quite frustrated. Peoples recommended to prune it, but as you know, they grow so damn slow in AZ already, pruning it means slowing it down even more. Any of your mangos is flowering right now? My biggest mango got buds about a month ago and now about to flowers. :)

devildestiny555 Yeah it’s definitely frustrating! None of mine have started blooming yet this year.

Thanks for the video bud. I live in Phoenix as well and did an experiment where I germinated seeds of organic kent mangoes from Sprouts. I planted two and one of them actually did germinate. Any tips on how to care the seedling through the summer? Pot Size until its big enough to put in ground. I do have a shaded patio if it needs sun protection.

Hi Neel, I planted my mango in the largest pot I had I filled it with premium potting mix with manure & put the seed quite shallow in the top middle & watered every day in the warm season, twice per day at times.
Instead of clipping the entire panicle only leave a small amount of the panicle so it won’t try to rebloom. Watch truly tropical, they are a mango nursery in Florida and they say to only cut part of the panicle rather than the entire thing

Good tip
you must work for a nursery growing from seed is the best!
My manila mango grown from seed keep stopping their growth after about 3-4 months. I've re-potted using 30% sand, 30% peat moss, 30% perlite, and 10% mix of compost, composted manure, worm casting, and myccorhiza. They're getting 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. It's seems to be at a complete halt, and can't produce leaves. Any tips?? These baby's look like they're dying.
Our mango tree one and a half ur old in glendale az is in the container. It bloomed last yr. But now seems like it’s drying off from the top. It’s going down from the top and almost half way through it dried already. Do you have any recommendations pls and thank you!!!

I had similar issue and someone told me it is either -- roots damaged in transplant, salts/chlorine in water, or too much salts in soil from cheap/too much fertilizer. My plants survived winter in heated greenhouse, only to slowly die in spring and summer in the manner you have described.
I have a young mango tree that has two stalks. It was grown from seed a bit more than a year ago. What should I fo

hello wondering if you can give me some tips. I have 9 mango tree right now ranging from 3 to 6 years old. I live in zone 9b riverside California. my challenges are water being alkaline and don't know how much water to give. I also have clay soil but I amended the soil. I dug up 2 feet deep and 3 feet wide. I just put them on the ground last March. but they are not looking good and I am having a lot of burn on the leaves. I only use organic fertilizers and also new growth look deformed. is there any tip you can give. appreciate the help.

Where did you get the seedlings?

'Coco tropics 239' (one word) on eBay has a great selection with reasonable prices -- I bought a few in early winter.
How cold does it get where u live in winter mate? I live in cool temperate area of Australia and want to grow mango in pots. I am going to try them in a greenhouse though. Lol I know I am pushing boundaries big time but I don’t care. I think if we all keep on trying sub tropical and even tropical trees in places where it gets cold in winter(I don’t mean alpine areas though where it’s just below freezing all the time) they will eventually get used to different climates and adapt to them. Lol well that’s my wish anyways 😆

The temp here is cold in winter. Not many frosts this year about 3 I think. Below zero rarely, nice warm summers and not too hot but the winters are chilly.
