I have a black medium classic flap that is 8 yrs old and it still looks great - No problem with the sides no scuffing any where the structure is still perfect.. When I bought mine my SA ( and all the other SA’s agreed) to not store the chain in the bag. I was told to store the bag in the white dust bag backwards and the chain in the other flap of the bag and fold it over. The chain will be on the back of the back and not the front. She said Chanel made the dust bag with 2 flaps this way to store the chain inside so the weight is not added to the bag. I do this with my beige med flap too which I bought 2 yrs ago at another boutique and they told me the same thing. I, too, use cadillac select on bags.

Hello, thank you for informative video. I am considering buying a CF from 19s collection in iridescent pink. I am torn between the jumbo and small CF. I am also concerned about the wear and tear and color transfer. Can you advise? Do you recommend the iridescent pink, saw videos stating that the glitter comes off. These are pricey items and your opinion will be appreciated. Thank you

The iridescence can wear off over time, so you have to be more careful with it - for example, I would not advise using leather conditioners or cleaners so that you don’t rub off the iridescence.

I’m confused because I’ve seen videos saying not to keep it in the box so the leather can breathe but the Chanel SA said to keep it upright in the dust bag and inside the box so not sure what’s best

It’s recommended that the leather “breathe”. You can store in the dust bag, but better out of the box.
