This just reminded me so much about the times where you just hear a different actor singing a Broadway song that you know by heart and there are these little changes that make you go “Didn’t think you could approach that part like that.” Long-winded way of saying that it’s nice to have a different version of the song that is just as good as the original, but in its own way. Actually, ive done my research on Anne. She was born and grew up in Hever Castle in England. So techically she is British. But she dod techically go to France for schooling. But i believe she would have been in England Long enough to have a British Accent.

I love how Anna makes the "What was I meant to do?" all sound a little different as if sung with a different emotion. Really love it when people put emotion in their voice when they sing!

Something I love about Anna's singing is that her voice is very original. One of the many issues with my singing is that I try to mimic the inflection of the previous singers of the song that I liked best. She doesn't do that, and puts her own impressions on the character.

I haven’t done a deep listen of the original recording but i have listen to the original of this song and i have to say i don’t like it with the accent. maybe it’s cause i heard this one first

I have this like magical thing going on that whenever I get into a musical Anna instantly makes a cover of my favorite song from said musical

Okay... allow me to do a freaking analytics essay on your voice. First of all, props to you for being a soprano I can actually listen to without feeling bad about being an alto. Honestly, outside my friends who are sopranos, I find it difficult to feel good about my voice when it comes to hitting notes. Especially because when I was younger I had SO MUCH range and nowadays I can barely hit Jane Seymour's "Yeah!" In Heart Of Stone. Second, the tone is PERFECT for Anne, your voice has this hint of sass and "Stfu I'm a queen and we all know it" is perfect for Boleyn's song. Third, something I always try to listen for is whether or not the singer is having fun and it's pretty clear you went whole ham on this and had a blast singing this. When I say this, I mean it, you're a huge inspiration and one of the reasons I started singing in the first place, so major props to you, Anna. I would start making covers but all I have is a decent professional mic that doesn't work. Keep up the good work Anna, can't wait to see you do Get Down!

I will never get over the amount of emotion that you put into songs like this. Like, I can feel the fear and anger in your voice near the end of the song. Love it!

Victoria Whitcomb I agree this has more sass while the original was more childlike reflecting the original Anne age better. But one thing about this that I think is weird for me is the bitter and fitter part because it’s not said in a British accent so I’m just like ahhhh!!!!

I feel the tone in her voice and her altered diction, especially after stressing the “do” at the end of the phrase “what was I meant to do by saying it like “do (wah)” made her tone sound more childish, which to me is more accurate in representation of the real Anne

I don't like it, like at all. In original Anne had more of a "brush you off cause I really don't care" and less of a "I'm sassy cause I'm annoyed" vibe like in this one. Also this song is full of unnecessary embellishments throughout the song such as the awkward decrescendo at 2:32 and the various 'wahs' and 'ahs' at the end of words. But they did put in good effort and this was an interesting take on the song.
