    1. Change your morning routine. 2. 20 min morning walk w/o phone. 3. Take a break from social media (detox). 4. Get outside during the day and move. 5. Embrace the slowness of the season. 6. Give yourself a mini challenge (run a 5K, swim, camp, plant a veg patch, skip rope, read). Be sure to watch the whole video. Lots of great points and expositions.

Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. Lord give me strength as I struggle to pay my rent every month and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children I’m ashamed Lord help me. I ask that you bless me with your wisdom and guidance, as I navigate parenthood on my own.💕💕

Having only work and challenges 7/24, never had a dishwasher, orphaned in my teens, live alone, partially disabled, without help, and trying to improve the apartment into a home by myself. Last summer I made a routine of getting in a body of water (sometimes a pool, sometimes a lake, depending on circumstance) outdoors every day for 2.5 months. I felt the best I ever have, and realized that it was because I had never had the privilege of access to water like that as an adult. It was amazing, and the exact therapy I needed. Now I just need to figure out how to replicate it this year, since my geography doesn't lend me access to any bodies of water (no natural bodies of water, no pools within hours of my location, not even a bathtub 😂)

Back in 2022 when btc was at its cycle low, people where saying btc is done for it's going below $15k US it's going to zero. Well it's down 10% from mid March ath 2024 and now everyone is shitting themselves. That doesn't make any logical sense especially for crypto. Its just a shake out phase, chill people go zoom out at old charts. We are at around 1.4 trillion market cap and only growing, just wait and see the price next year in March it will double....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Evelyn Infurna, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

    * Get outside as fast as possible in the morning, change up your morning routine, more intention. Can you eat outside? walks, hikes, be with someone outside as much as you can, take advantage - embrace nature. Embrace the pace of nature, embrace slowness, embrace intention and mindfulness. * Embrace the season and see how much movement you can do out doors! * Embrace slowness. It can be hot, take it easy. Be comfortable outside more. Get after it when you want though! * Give yourself a mini challenge. Willpower in the summer is higher, take advantage. Make a change - challenges give a sense of urgency - good energy in the direction of your goal. Run/walk/bike a 5k, lengths in a pool (5-10-20-30?) Your unique goal. Camp? Say yes when your kiddo asks you to play outside. * Use the ideas as set point to inspire your own unique solution to being outside more with people you love. * Dr. Chatterjee likes to skip rope on family vacation. * I play soccer with my 2 kiddos and get morning walks and a little yoga. * Bonus * If you read non fiction - read a fiction. Activate another side of yourself. Learn a language? Sing? Learn an instrument? Write? Do something new! Slightly change up an existing habit - get creative!

After having hot water with lemon, I walk in my large garden for half an hour (I take diuretic, so can’t leave the house!). I then use my laptop to write about my life for an hour before I have my tea. I don’t take a nap in the afternoon. I have increased my exercise time to 80 mins a day. I sleep much better at night. probably THEE most inspiring and practical thoughts I've heard... and many of the suggestions have been swimming around my head for months! My great challenge is feeling unsafe outdoors say, walking on my rural road, or biking .. I am a single woman but struggle to feel safe. I love the outdoors but fear keeps me inside alot. I love swimming too! but I can't seem to overcome the thoughts of "what if" I am looking to put a pool up in my yard.. well, thank you for spending some of your time hoping to inspire well being in our lives. I will continue to challenge myself to 1. get up earlier and go outside 2. choose mini goal to build a garden box that I can easily work over, 3. um, reduce my time on line.. well, maybe just to listen to you. for the summer!! I guess that includes games, huh? the word games help my brain.. but for the summer I could let them go and do a physical book crossword.. and then last.. well, I already read.. but not 2 books a week! yikes! I could focus more however, Im reading a book called " The year of living danishly" . by Helen Russell The writer is a bit brash but her husband balances things. anyway thanks again..

Dr. Chatterjee, you are giving me so much hope. Everything you recommend that I do makes my life better. ❤ I would like your advice about social media. I dropped out of it about two years ago. However: I have also lost a lot of people in these few years. Most of my seven children have grown up and moved away. I am sadly a three-hour drive from my mom, so I can’t see her all the time. Many friends have died or moved away. I am slowly rebuilding my life, including your principles. I’m considering rejoining social media so I can connect with far-away cousins. I definitely felt better without it, but now, since I’m not inclined (I hope!) to use it as a stand-in for real-life interaction: do you think it could be valuable for someone in my position? Or do you think it’s just generally not a healthy experience?

What a fantastic video that we don't hear very often. Love the encouragement and suggestions for us. I'm a 64 year old and and spend the last 19 years raising an autism son. This was a challenge in itself but so intense and stressful at times I never thought to do or even had the time to do any of these things. I used to be an active person and going going going in my youth. Now I feel this video was meant for me to see and hear. I am going to go outside more just doing anything like even filing my nails and fixing my long hair. I have been walking every morning at 6:30 for 30 minutes as I have some severe arthritis and Arthrosis if you know the difference. It's quite devastating but I am doing well and keep myself moving daily. I don't have any social media so that is easy for me. I do need a challenge of some sort since my son is grown and more independent now. I have time for myself. Praise God for that! Thank You so much Dr. Rangan for this lovely video.

I don't know why it took so long for me to learn who you are, but I just watched you interview Dr Gabor Mate, and I'm impressed by your ability to listen open-hearted. I'm subscribed now. Recommendations for your summer reading: anything by Simon Winchester, especially The Professor and the Madman - historical fiction; also, "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr is a must read. Beautiful. Sci Fi: Anything by Zelazny, he makes very flawed protagonists and is easy reading, esp the Nine Princes in Amber series; My favorite fiction is by Barbara Kingsolver (her older books), Neil Gaiman writes Young Adult and Children's fiction and his is a twisted and interesting world, fun and easy for adults; "psychological fiction" by Patricia Highsmith and Shirley Jackson will give you the creeps; poetry: Billy Collins for humor, Mary Oliver for gratitude, read David Whyte "Consolations", and Sharon Olds will make you grateful for your childhood. There are a million wonderful books. Thank you for what you're doing in the world. Peace and love. Lisa

Just ordered a skipping rope. Heading towards brittle bones and have no confidence in the medical solutions (Calcium and Vitamin D - I live in Portugal, outside most of the day and love my cheese and yoghurt so how am I going to benefit from the pills?). I've read that jumping is great for bones so skipping should get me into it

Loved it when you talked about reading. Nowadays listening to some audio books as well. Doing morning walks to feel the cosy sunshine on my skin . Increase serotonin levels. Baby steps though for the ones I got from you in this video. Thank you Enjoy your summer vacation 🦢🦢❤️

The best part about summer is the days are long- the sun sets at 8:30pm and I feel like there’s a magic to that…

Why would I want to go for a walk in the middle of the night? 8 or 9 a.m. would be just fine (btw., I never get up that early)

Point no 6. is interesting. I'm a novelist, as it happens. If you'd like a complimentary copy of my last book, the satire Our Parent Who Art in Heaven, let me know. I'd be happy to send you one or ask my publisher, Flame Books, to do so. It's my way of thanking you for your inspiring podcasts. I will do the challenge!

Can anyone verify how many Rinkeby residents have such 2nd homes?

I know there are quite a few KZreadrs I’ve found that have bought houses (summer house) in the country in Sweden for between $8,000 to $30,000. These are small, country houses that need very little to nothing in the way of maintenance to bring up to living conditions and just about all have running water and electricity. It’s astonishing as there is nothing of the sort available here in the states. You can barely buy a used car for $30,000 over here.

Disabled, but hopefully not enough to not enjoy a walk in the park / countryside. Surely it would lift your spirits and your child.

I don’t want to hear about Jesus, or God, or any of that Holy shmolly crap. You can't try that guilt trip crap with me. I go by LOGIC....period! I want and need REASONS rather than some mindless command from some invisible, supposedly Supreme being. Believe it not, it works for me. Faith is for suckers.

I just finish watching this video . He didn’t mention about a faith or god . Did he ? I like your attitude , going for reason ! Long ago people called “god” everything and anything of which they couldn’t find the reason or logic of . Eg sun god .
