Just a little back story: Mark Wills wrote and released this song for his daughter in 1998 after she got bullied in school. Towards the end, a young lady joins them and sings beside Mark. That is the daughter he wrote the song for. More "full circle" tie ins.

I was bullied due to disability. Chris Rupp featuring Home Free: Movin On (my favorite Chris Rupp original) brought me so much healing to my soul and caused me to become a Home Fry. I have smiled more than ever and had a joyful heart thanks to Chris Rupp and Home Free. I’m so grateful for their music. Thank you!

The young girl signing got me too. October is not only anti bullying it's also special needs month. This video makes me cry everytime, growing up as a fat kid I know what's it's like. But by being bullied I learned compassion. I treat folks how I want to be treated and it's not to be high and mighty it's just life. Loved how you caught that moment when that boy realized what was up. I missed that. Great video, great reaction.

The original video by Mark Wills from the 90s is a tearjerker. It follows the lyrics more closely and really touched me when I was young. In elementary school I was severely bullied for my weight and Asbergers. One of the worst times I was reading in the gym during a rainy recess and a group of girls surrounded me and mocked me about my weight and behavior for 5-10 minutes, tried to steal my book, before pushing me when they left. Unfortunately, I did end up with an eating disorder due to the frequent bullying. This song (and a few others) helped me then along with my parents' support so it's still one of my favorite songs.

I was bullied in grade school for my RED hair. I remember crying all the time. I will be 69yrs old next month. I don't know my hair anymore because of my health. My husband of 47 yrs loves my RED hair. I still don't like the color red. So glad Home Free brought it front and center. They did a amazing job on this beautiful song. Everyone that's bullied or is bullied needs to know someone cares.

I got bullied early in life but I was a little scrapper, then I grew 12" over the summer (yes, it hurt like hell) and ended up a 5'11" going into my 8th grade year. Pretty much, no one f'd with me after that. That being said, I work with teens and have since around 1995 and I can tell you that it has gotten brutal, especially on the internet. Yes, as adults who have been through stuff, were desensitized but when teenagers get comments and posts on their socials telling them they are ugly or to kill themselves or even worse, an embarrassing moment is captured on video (because everyone has a camera with them at all times) and it gets circulated online, this stuff is traumatic and these kids arent taught how to cope. This is one of the few "feelings based" movements I can truly get behind. We need to find a solution to the bullying. For the record, most of the people who are charged with "cyber bullying" is because they made genuine threats of injury or death. Threatening language has technically been illegal for a long time. The fact that its on the internet just gives actionable proof.

🍟 As a Grandma to an Autistic Granddaughter and a Down Syndrome Granddaughter this struck a very deep chord for me. My Autistic sweetie was recently 'expelled' from her Homeschooling program because she had missed too many days. Her Mom was going through breast cancer surgery & chemo, so yes she missed some days - but still managed to get all A's. Bullies come in all ages. Sometimes the adults are the worst! This song and video speaks volumes for those who can't! Thank you gentlemen- it's a real gift. 🍟💖

21 Pineapples is the young man's charity surrounding bullying. He has around 700k followers on Tiktok. This song originally came out in 1998 from Mark Wills and climbed to #2 on the charts....this is why so many of us love Home Free because their messaging is always so cool. I am older, so it was different when I went to school...I was bullied to the point one day in the 8th grade I attempted suicide. It made me a better man my whole life. I've had gay best friends that I had to stand up for and a friend who was learning disabled (but not downs like the 2 kids in this video) it was rough upbringing....

I could add a longer comment but, speaking of parenting regarding to sports, I told my son that he was the big fish in a little pond, He was invited to be the Catcher for the Varsity team for High school but he was only in 8th grade, that taught him that he wasn't the big fish after all. Humbleness is what he learned, from that day he started teaching younger Baseball Catcher's instead of thinking he was the best of all.

Just wanted to say that the cyber bullying you guys were talking about at the beginning of this video isn't quite what is meant by cyber-bullying today. Asshats in MMO chat rooms can be ignored. But when someone creates a dummy social media account and posts nude images with a student's face photoshopped on it, THAT'S bad juju. There have been suicides. And when bullies target special needs kids ... well. The worst part is that the school authorities don't seem to be able to figure out what needs to be done to protect the students from even overt physical bullying. And I guess there's some parents who either refuse to believe their child can be a bully, or worse, actively promote it.

A beautiful song and video with a sad subject and important message. I know what bullying is. Not by children, but by the teachers. I never told my family and thought I could handle it all. Now I am almost 59 years old, and only 2 years ago did I find out what bullying has determined my life. It's so good that it's getting attention. Because bullying has to end. @@beadwrightI live in the Netherlands. When a was 10 year old, after moving to a village, I went to a public school where I was the only brown child (Dutch with Indonesian blood). I came from a multicultural Christian school where I was top of the class. I was a bit shy, quiet and gullible. So I didn't even realize what was happening at first. So I really thought I was getting low grades on certain projects because I didn't do it right, until the teacher came over and said I'd never get higher grades because I was stupid anyway. And if it was so good, I probably would have had help or cheated. I also thought I was so clumsy, falling over the teacher's feet. Until it happened again outside on a lawn. The teacher supposedly helped me up and said I couldn't get any dirtier with my skin color. Another teacher he got along well with and whose son was in my class had told that son not to play with me and to wash his hands if he touched me. I also had to read in class once, but at first it was too soft. And when I started reading harder it was suddenly too hard. I had to come along and was then locked in a small kitchen with the lamp off and no windows. The students thought I was just put in the hall, which they also disagreed with because I hadn't done anything wrong. And when I took a test for secondary education, that test was very good. But I was told that as a brown child I could never be so intelligent and advised me to go to what they called Housekeepingschool in the Netherlands(I don't know what they call it in English/American)at the time. And so I can go on. But I never told my mother and family. My siblings went to a different school in a different city, so they didn't know anything either. Only one friend knew everything. Sorry, long story😊

@@beadwrightYes, now I regret that I never dared to say anything. I didn't want to tell my mother because I thought she had enough problems and worries already. One of the teachers was the principal. And because I was new there, I didn't dare tell the other teachers. I was not aware of racism at the time because I had never experienced it at my previous school. Of course I did have to deal with racism once in my life, but not that bad. I didn't feel like arguing and didn't want to lower myself to that level. Wasn't assertive anyway, although I had a father who was very tough from being in the Jap camp for 4 years, and had taught us to be strong and not to show our emotions or people would walk all over us. We were not allowed to cry and learned to fight in case we had to defend ourselves physically. But he had already passed away 3 days before my 6th birthday. I have developed a fear of failure and inferiority complex because of this. I only had therapy for this a year ago.

I'm so glad I was well out of school before the worst of the internet came to pass! I know the world is a hard place to be, but today's bullying isn't nearly the same as what I grew up with. Back then, I got bullied, you stood up for myself and thumped several people. That was the end of it! Nowadays, everyone has to worry about someone committing mass shootings. Or if the people can't deal with it, they commit suicide. Short of completely isolating yourself from all electronic forms of communication, there's nowhere to get away from bullies. And then you still have to deal with the asshats that come at you in person. Like I said, I'm glad I was raised before all this crap became so prevalent. On a side note, you might enjoy seeing the original video from when Mark Wills released this song nearly 25 years ago. He still sounds amazing! Great reaction guys! I always love your tangents! ❤

It is important to build callouses, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. You build callouses on your hands by doing work, which is the right way, but if someone takes your hands and scrubs them with a rough brush until they bleed, that's the wrong way. And the person who does that, whether its a parent, a teacher or a coach need to be held accountable. The same holds for mental callouses, which we all need, but you don't get them by being abused.

The thing about cyber bullying is that often it is multiple people dissing someone who really isn’t a participant in it at all, but yet it gets back to that person, and they’re devastated and humiliated by what people are saying about them behind their back. This has had disastrous effects on some young people, probably even some older people who are in emotionally distressed states of mind. but your comment about just turn it off may be relevant if you are a participant in casting stones at one another but not when you’re an innocent skinny glasses wearing brainiac that everyone is making fun of who cries himself to sleep at night.

You guys make bullying sound like a game. Imagine how the parents who have lost kids in school shootings feel to hear you guys just dismiss bullying like some Red Neck rite of passage. You never know what other people are going through or their mental health. Think about other people who can't handle it, like you two obviously did. Cheers!

Power and control = Bullying. Whether a child or an adult doing it to someone they think are weaker than the bully is.

It's not so easy just to ignore sometimes. Cyberbullying can be brutal in this time period. Technology is a blessing and a curse. I got picked on some in High School (I was a transplant to the high school), but it wasn't too bad and I could handle it (face to face encounters - cell phones and internet didn't exist). Being a mental health counselor and working on a crisis line, I talk to victims of bullying who become suicidal because the bullying is relentless. Argh! pisses me off! But hopefully we can get back to etiquette and socially appropriate behaviors again . . . .

Bullying on Instagram, Snapchat, etc can cause damage. Too many mental health issues out there. Teach your kids to respect others, I can agree with that one, but I do think these kids telling other kids that are already depressed that they should just kill themselves, they should have consequences because there are real consequences to the person receiving that message and it isn’t as easy as just turning it off.
