Bigger important note, everything about the level design suggests you should be crouching around the nutcrackers. They even seemed to hear Arin when he was just walking around. I don't think anyone's mentioned this. Crouching probably works way better than walking.

I was thinking the same thing, and it reminded me of the concept of the uncanny, as its defined by Freud. He quotes a philosopher (I guess) called Jentsch, that says one of the ways of evoking the feeling of the uncanny is presenting something that we are not sure if it's an automat or a human. He talks about a story by ETA Hoffman where there is a doll that is very much like a living girl. The walking of the nutcrackers, in that very non-human but also not entirely robotic way, reminded me of that in-between feeling of the uncanny

Arin's brilliant idea of leaving the TV on as he escaped his cell probably got good reception from the nutcrackers who presumably placed him in said cell and then were ultimately fooled by the light of said TV into believing that he was still in his cell.

Who else just kept yelling "stop moving!" Every time they started dancing when they saw a nutcracker?

I genuinely started shouting “he can’t see you! He’s blind!” At my tv and “they have EXCEPTIONAL HEARING so stop running!” For one amusingly infuriating reason: less than 10 minutes before that Arin read OUT LOUD “the nutcrackers seem to be blind but their large ears seem to mean they have exceptional hearing” ... maybe it’s just 2020 but I do screaming at my tv way more often during Grumps videos these days.

Everyone talking about the nutcrackers, but did nobody notice that Arin couldn't intuit the incredibly intuitive "combine" interface that even dimmed items he couldn't combine with, tried to slap a flashlight and water gun together using his hopes and dreams (presumably) as the adhesive, then called it unintuitive? .... I love this channel. I really do. Merry Christmas, lovelies and grumps.

Arin and Dan have the attention spans of gnats high on cocaine. They find the note early, READ about the Nutcracker's BLINDNESS, and then repeatedly marvel at not being seen. And I'm over here, wanting to scream in frustration at a freakin' KZread video!

I came here to be relaxed, but after Arin reading the note about it being blind and then him running every time it came, made me wanna tear my hair out. Please. It’s *blind,* not *deaf.*

I'm really enjoying this games expansion, the new levels are real spooky!
