Don't kid yourself, or your kids; Outdoor Education is deeply political

Health and Physical Education Seminar from 21 May 2018
Presented by Beau Miles and Jodi Evans (Monash Education)
Synopsis:
The new VCE outdoor education and environmental studies have embraced Victorian/Australian environmental politics. An exciting space of empowerment for year 11 and 12 students which can be taught in passionate and exciting ways.
A filmed summer reconnaissance of Little Desert National Park, (emphasised as a place of significance within VCE outdoor education and environmental studies), will set up an unpacking of the site with outdoor education politics and programming in mind. As a filmed insight into the park, the session will conclude through an open discussion regarding visual and online learning in the outdoors.
