Don't Hesitate On The Starting Line! - German Championships Windsurfing 2022

The highlight of my windsurfing season is always the German Championships on Sylt. I really like to windsurf at the world cup spot at Brandenburger Strand. This year we were a bit unlucky with the conditions as we only did three light wind races in six days of competition. I completely screwed up and this fact hit me hard. Difficult experience but good lesson on how to deal with failure.

In Deutschland fahren wir bei deutlich weniger Wind als im Worlcup, daher hatten wir die Erlaubnis die Windrange unseres Duotone 8.9 nach unten hin mit anderen Segeln aufzustocken. Kann ja keiner ahnen, dass wir nur diese paar Rennen bei unter 10 Knoten fahren :D

Hi Frank, it is a neck protector originally for cart racing. A catapult on the foil is much more harmful than on fin so I like to go extra save especially as it doesn't bother me!
