Don't Go There

The pope condemns surrogacy, evangelicals critique their own, and politics returns to the pulpit.
This week on The Bulletin, hosts Mike Cosper, Nicole Martin and editor in chief Russell Moore sit down with special guest Charles Camosy, Professor of Medical Humanities at the Creighton University School of Medicine, to talk about the pope’s latest condemnation of surrogacy and what it means to hold a pro-life ethic over and against consumerist culture. The episode continues with honest words about why we evangelicals need to sometimes critique our own and how politics muddies the gospel when it enters the pulpit. Listen for compelling, thought-provoking discussions that will expand your faith.

I'm so grateful for Nicole's voice on this platform. She's been such a necessary presence, esp in convos on race and women. Bless you, sista. Keep going!

Agreed, I cringe sometimes at the others and breath a sign of relief when she chimes in

I think some of it is the comercialism of a human beings body. A woman 'selling' the use of her body, the creation of a child being a service instead of a blessing. What i think is a good reason to be cautious is that a subject that deeply emotional as pregnancy, childbirth it has so many ways to be deeply painful in ways that even peeple going into it with the best intentions can be deeply wounded.

I totally don’t understand why surrogacy is an issue. Their argument seems superficial.

I agree politics don't belong in the pulpit, however, who's going to stop tRump from talking about politics when he's invited to speak at their church? He is liable to say anything at any time😢 without censure, shame or question. I'm not defending Biden, but can you honestly expect Donald Trump to guard what he says in a church-or anywhere?

Why do you separate white evangelicals from black evangelicals.
