Yeah, the robot invasion theory could’ve signified an invasion by the muses, the theories like the Neptune and Mrs puff theory could be how people with muses pretend to be regular people. The alien death cult theory could be how by sacrificing animals like the cat or Chester the dog it could signify how the person basically is a single person cult worshiping the muse. Maybe the television theory could be how the muses watch their person they are attached too.

There's a lot of foreshadowing in these theories to the Happy Meat Farms stuff too, like Mr. Krabs sourcing his meat from a highly questionable place, Neptune overthrowing Poseidon is similar to Ramona's muse taking over, and I'm fairly certain the robot theory is hinting that Jared from IT is a cyborg Edit: I just realized if the one playing Ramona in commercials isn’t her muse, but one specifically made to make her public appearances, that makes it even more similar to the Neptune theory

The filmmaking in this is genuinely outstanding, loved seeing this horror movie slowly reveal itself over the course of the series and can’t wait for the finale. The muse also looks suitably real and terrifying.

22:14 - The Muse shapeshifting into Alex in this scene is very reminiscent of Slenderman.

What you've done here is an astounding display of literary intellect. This was such a unique story with a breathtakingly poignant message. The jovial but dark tone of the initial conspiracy videos, and the juxtaposition of that with the increasingly tense and grotesque depiction of depression and the ultimately futile fight for the soul, is chilling and rewarding. I watched every video from first to last in one sitting, and I wouldn't have stayed past the third or fourth episode if it were not for the short asides at the very end. I was engrossed in the conspiracy videos while they were happening, but when I was given a nugget of insight into your world, I remembered why I was really watching. And this finale, my friend, felt so genuine and so real that I was on tenterhooks watching a film for the first time in what feels like years. There's an emotional integrity to your film making that creates an exceptionally compelling viewing experience. When I realized that you had become the character "Spongebob Guy" I was hooked... I was giddy with excitement that this was transforming into a performance before my very eyes. I love good horror, but I rarely watch horror movies because it's usually just a blonde chick breathing heavily, and sometimes screaming; Maybe you see somebody have an off screen death or maybe some blood spatters, but the story is thin as Texas ice. When you make a full-length feature film don't compromise your vision. Sucks that you had to drink Bud Light to fund it, but hey, that's business baby!

So, by creating a theory that involves aliens invading Bikini Bottom and replacing its inhabitants, the Muse is insinuating that eventually they will do the same to the people of Earth, representing themselves as the jellyfish. (The Muses' eyes resemble those of the jelliens) I also think it's cool how Alex attempts to break the perpetual cycle of the Muses' reproduction by warning Wesley about his Muse.

I kinda like to think the SpongeBob episode planet of jellyfish in this ARG tried to warn humanity, but everyone thought it was just an invasion of the body snatchers parody

I found this channel through the ARG, had no interest whatsoever in the spongebob theories, but when I started watching them, got hooked, forgot all about the ARG until the later episodes where he started to show snippets of "don't feed the muse" this has to be the most creative way someone has responded to not getting any attention online... its amazing

First let me just say how brilliantly subtle the water faucet across the two scenes was. So minor yet so impactful! Lol found you randomly because I wanted to know if anybody had made a creepypasta or horror short based off of Where's Waldo. Found your amazing film and then got sidetracked by the magic School bus theory and 3 hours later here I am lol now I need to watch the SpongeBob theories for context of this film.

It’s unbelievable how elaborate this entire spongebob series is. Alex started with barely any viewers with his films. So, he found a way to fit himself into the algorithm by doing spongebob theories, even if it wasn’t what he usually did. The first few theories seemed to be just that: normal theories that you can find on KZread. Then, once he had done several of the theories, he began to bring his film elements in slowly, all the way until this episode, where the entire thing was just a film. However, unlike before, he now has hundreds of thousands of viewers. Truly a mastermind

@@billywilliams8080 I mean the entire episode mimics what the Jelly Fish Invasion Theory is. In fact the entire ARG is the Jelly Fish Invasion Theory. A Colony of Jellyfish (Muse's) with one Centralized Leader (Mother) cloning all of the inhabitants in Bikini Bottom (Alex Bale's Universe). Alex Bale actually is a genius of film making to make an entire ARG based of, of SpongeBob. Also Alex did make a community post saying he wouldn't be making anymore SpongeBob theories. The uploads on his channel will just be focused on the "Dont Feed The Muse" story. So technically, people who clicked on the video, DID get the video that they wanted. I also don't get why you quoted the word "films" like what Alex Bale made before this series aren't a film. A film by definition is a moving picture: a movie. That is exactly what Alex Bale made before the SpongeBob stuff where he transitioned from Film to Series. Also yes, his plan certainly worked to some degree. Before all of this, barely anybody knew who Alex Bale was and his videos didn't have many viewers, but now even his old videos are getting traction. Alex Bale certainly is a genius mastermind.

the colour symbolism in this whole series (and especially in this episode) is absolutely immaculate. i didn't even notice it before now, but the colour yellow slowly becoming more and more prominent in each scene as the influence of the muse takes hold of the universe. it's such a good touch

I’ve been considering this for a while and it’s finally confirmed that each theory is foreshadowing for what the muse is, mostly episodes 4, 6, 7 and 9. Let me go through them all. Theory 1: Squilliam is a fraud manipulating Squidward through controlling others such as the doctor fish and the police. This is a metaphor for the muse using people like the Critic and Victoria to make sure he keeps making the theories and feeding the muse. Theory 2: The Filmmakers and producers are controlling the characters using Sandy in order to keep the show on track. Similar to the last metaphor, the muses, along with HMF, are using Victoria in order to control Alex, Victoria and the muse being represented by Sandy and the Narrator. Theory 3: Mrs Puff accidentally caused the death of somebody and is being controlled by Richard A. Bottomfeeder to continue teaching SpongeBob as revenge. This one follows the general theme of controlling or manipulating others, but another possible more subtle connection is the muse manipulating the Critic after he kills Anthony (as far as we know, we can hear him screaming in the second this place is not happy video). Theory 4: King Neptune evolved certain fish into more intelligent life forms, the evolved residents also eat less evolved other fish. Mr Krabs is responsible for the death of Pearl’s mother and is using the meat to make Patties for money. This one is very interesting, first of all King Neptune evolving the fish is reminiscent of Happy meat farm’s CEO Ramona Bynes (or Jared) making evolved animals, aka the muses, while the bikini bottom citizens eat less evolved fish, the muses eat less evolved animals, like cats. Finally, Mr Krabs uses whale meat to sell patties and get money, Alex gives raw meat to the muse in exchange for theories. Theory 5: King Neptune is given powers from aliens and dethrones Poseidon. Ramona Bynes is Poseidon in this situation, the aliens (or the muses) similar to giving Neptune powers, create one of those stand ins from the end of this video and replace the real Ramona, like how Neptune dethrones Poseidon. Theory 6: Kids who go to goofy goobers are made into employees who follow the goofy goober’s cult beliefs in aliens. This one is pretty obvious. The HMF employees are brought into a cultish worshipping of “Mother” and do various things from testing on reporters to film producing to cover up the escape of test subjects, in addition the aliens are a substitute for the new world order that HMF is trying to create. Theory 7: Robots are invading and replacing citizens to take over, having already taken over Patrick’s mind. This is also an open and shut case. The muses are replacing humans such as the Critic or Victoria in order to take over the planet. Theory 8: Patchy has a toxic obsession with Spongebob, always trying to meet him and losing his temper after failing. Eventually he ends up suffocating to death in the sand, and he returns as a ghost with the ability to time travel. He grows bitter of Spongebob, wanting revenge, but also still wanting to be friends with him. This is the one that I’m not sure about, it might be a connection to Conspiracy Carl wanting to reconnect with the Critic, or the Critic obeying the muse’s requests in order to keep his mother alive. Theory 9: Aliens are taking over bikini bottom by replacing them one by one. The muses are taking the places of the people who feed it, as he describes at the start of the video “They replace the citizens of Bikini bottom with identical clones, taking over the population from within.” Foreshadowing the ending of the video. BONUS: The Alex Bale duplicate from the end of this video strongly mirrors the A.I Alex from the April fools video. Honestly the amount of foreshadowing hidden in this ARG and it’s videos are incredible and that’s what makes this ARG so special. The amount of effort is genuinely fantastic and you can tell for a fact this man knows what he’s doing. I can’t wait to see more from this series in 2023!

I can feel that your emotions towards being the SpongeBob guy are real, but seeing the quality going into these short films makes me regret not taking film in university. Amazing work, really love it.

I’ve been a fan of Alex Bale’s content since the winter finale of promos, and pizza time pizza was what sparked my passion for args. I just wanted to comment how much I appreciate the well thought out storylines and genuine passion put into every single thing uploaded on this channel, and also a thank you for being my inspiration to start making short films of my own. Incredible. That cynical critic reveal had me fanboying so hard as someone who's followed the ARG. Better than any Marvel reveal in the last few years. The ad was funny as well, this is how you do ads, youtubers, so creative. And then the filmmaking. My god it has reached a new high. The cinematography has always been on point but the cgi and sound design in this episode just add a whole new level. There's so much more to praise. I'm just proud of you man, keep shining! I couldn't give a shit that there was no theory, honestly after 5 minutes I just forgot there was supposed to be one and hoped this kept going.

The whole film was the theory tho, it was the retelling of the SpongeBob episode where the citizens of bikini bottom get body snatched and cloned. It's genius honestly. I did a shit job of explaining it but I also don't fully remember the SpongeBob episode.

I’m a musician but Alex makes me want to get into editing and making short films man I love this stuff it’s inspiring

Can we appreciate that this guy didn't just jump onto what worked, but used what worked to pull out his passion in a way that got everybody hooked? This guy has used his pressure to become the SpongeBob guy to his advantage so that he could tie it into a narrative creating a career for him that ditched being the SpongeBob guy. I've never seen somebody use success to their advantage quite like this, Alex is a pretty smart fellow.

If that’s not why you are, there are other places to get SpongeBob theories I’m sure. But you probably won’t find this level of production anywhere else. @@Lenape_Lady To be fair most of the millions of people came to his channel because they are interested in the theories. Not everyone likes horror films. A lot of people only watch KZreadrs for specific content that they are interested in and skip videos that they don't care for. Many KZreadrs lose a lot of views when they quit doing the content most people subscribed for. You shouldn't bash them just because they don't care for his horror films when they didn't subscribe for that type of content. You can hardly blame people for being disappointed that a KZreadr they liked watching is probably going to quit making the videos they were interested in from the beginning. Kids aren't the only ones that watch theory videos, they are interesting and entertaining to think about, which is why they are so popular. Claiming someone is childish for being more interested in theory videos rather than horror short films is just entitled and what's actually childish. People have every right not to care for certain genres of videos, everyone has different interests and they are allowed to be honest about being disappointed.

Well that's the point. Whether or not it worked on any of *you* specifically, this guy took what worked and used it to his advantage to chase what he's actually passionate about, and very effectively at that. I just think he's clever for having done so.

I'm loving the effects and story. I... don't even know where this is going to go. The shift from Comedy to Horror you've done has been incredible man. Huge props to you and your team. :)

The ARG it called The Muse ARG. That ad of surfshark was amazing. Probably the most creative advertisement I ever seen.

this video was the jelly fish conspiracy, he pretty much explained it in a film of his own without using spongebob. He loves doing films and its super cool how he could adress and explain a theory with a film that he made. The video explains how the jelly fish(the aliens in the film) took over ppl, at the beginning when u seen patrick getting cloned, then look at the end of the vid. There the same.

What if all the spongebob theories were the timeline for the muse? Think of it 1st theory: His friend lied to him about things 2nd theory: All their jobs was about TV or Movies. 3rd theory: Alex was losing his sanity due to the *spongebob* theories Fourth theory : The mention of meat, Murdering animals, and the semi-mutation of Alex 5th theory: people taking other people’s places 6th theory: The Muses taking/manipulating the minds of some of the people when they are at their lowest 7th theory: the muses turning the main cast against each other 8th theory: Can’t think of much here but I digress.

I think the theories also correspond to the side channels of this ARG. Theory 1 is similar to cynical critic and Anthony having a falling out. Theory 2 is conspiracy Carl getting paranoid by HMF putting up cameras near his house, also the fact that happy meat farms likes to cover up their shady business with fake movie trailers Theory 3 is cynical critic getting reminded of his past by sonc the blue rat ( his Muse ) Theory 4 Happy meat farms mutating their test subjects Theory 5 the muses replacing their victim's like Ramona Bines and Anthony Theory 6 the muses manipulating their victims Theory 7 this one's a stretch but it could relate to Jared. Theory 8 kinda resembles Ramona Bines fighting back as best as she can as an escaped test subject

I always saw a connection between Rocky from Great Snail Race and the "rock" SpongeBob and Squidward drove at the end of Pizza Delivery. It's as if "rocks" are a species of animal in the SpongeBob universe.

Found this series after a clip of one of the first theory was posted on tumblr out of context and learned through the comments on that clip that it was part of an arg horror series. Immediately had to go take a look and I'm glad I did! It's interesting how the missing poster for Chester shows up before the Muse eats him, insinuating that Wesley stole him. Obviously if Wesley had stolen Chester, he wouldn't have exhibited affection for him. It's almost as if one of the Muses put the poster up, knowing that he would be consumed. It's possible that the Muses are a hivemind who know each other's every current and subsequent action. Or maybe they know the future.
