Don't Eat Another Costco Rotisserie Chicken Until You Watch This

Ойын-сауық

If you’re craving a good rotisserie chicken, it’s hard to beat Costco. After all, you can head to the bulk store and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for just $4.99, and it always tastes great. Of course, you will likely find yourself buying a few other things while you’re there, because it’s quite challenging not to, but you’ll still be getting a good deal. While a lot of things seem too good to be true, Costco’s chicken is the real deal, and it’s not quite as unhealthy as you may think. Make sure you don’t eat another Costco rotisserie chicken until you watch this.

Mashed Any place that’s none of the places you guys mentioned.. I’d rather pay $7+ for a normal healthy bird than 3.99 for a 3lb bird that through genetic modification grows so fast that it’s bones cannot keep up leaving most of them to walk on broken legs while alive.

Passions .. we separate the drumsticks and thighs and sell them chilled. You get 8 drumsticks and 8thighs for $4.99. The breast meat we use in our deli entrées: Chicken Pot pie, Chicken Soup, Chicken Enchiladas, and Chicken Alfredo . And the carcass goes into the bone barrel and just used by a company that makes good dirt. So you see, nothing goes to waste! But honestly, we usually sell all the chickens during the day. :)

Hey, for $5, it's an outstanding deal. The wife and I will eat half of it after bringing it home, while it's still hot. We usually have a small salad along with it. The other half we stretch over two more meals, one where we make sammies out of the meat, the other we'll toss into a dinner salad. That's three meals for $5 - well, at least the main course part of it. Altogether we probably spend about $15 max for those three meals.

Don't forget that after you've eaten the meat, you can toss everything that's left like the bones and scraps of meat into some boiling water to make chicken broth. The best way is to set some of the chicken meat aside, then you can shred it and add it to the broth after removing the chicken scrap, and then add some noodles, vegetables, and spices for homemade chicken noodle soup

Ok, so first I'd like to say I'd never go to Costco just for the chicken. But, I'd never leave Costco without buying 1 or 2 of them, one for that night and one I stick in the freezer for a quick meal later, (let the bashing begin). Yes, it's not as good as buying it fresh buy if you've ever been in a pinch and hate fast food, a frozen Costco chicken defrosted in the fridge overnight still tastes better than some supermarket brands. As far as the crispy skin, sure it's not crispy but, the kids still fight over it at the table and, if you've ever noticed, the one's in the supermarket that are actually labeled crispy rotisserie chicken are also the ones that are dry and overcooked AF. Will definitely try making the stock with my next Costco carcass.

3lbs is just the average for the chickens too. I’ve seen some that are easily over 5lbs each

I knew a lady that would buy a rotisserie chicken every few days and dismantle them to give only the white meat to her little terrier. No skin and no dark meat was allowed...

My husband just bought one and I will say it is flavorless! Only thing it is good for is a spiced up chicken salad or Sandwiche!

I usualy get 1000g of chicken after stripping out all the fat and bone. I split that into 5 portions of 200g chicken. Then add it to salad

the ones in this video look sweet but we got one from NZ costco and it looked uncooked in the very center, lots of kiwis have posted posts saying they too got a uncooked chicken, costco replied with saying the chickens are all upto cooked temperature and they are fine to eat, but bugger that if it looks uncooked in the bin it goes, not worth the risk, i wont be buying another costco cooked chicken again, everything about costco i love, just let down by the chicken here in New Zealand

I get 4 cups chicken and that's even after we've had 1 meal from it. Yes, I always boil the stock. Chicken soup or pot pie. We just got one of the worst brined bird. The flavor is horrible. 1st time.

You shouldn't. If your schedule allows it, get a fresh chicken and roast it at home, I do that quite often. As they mention starting from 5:10, you are more likely to arrive at home with a soggy chicken skin rather than with a crispy one. And I know what's in my chicken, salt, pepper, lime juice, garlic, maybe some chilies and nothing else. None of these 45 ingredients nobody can spell or pronounce.
