Having a girl friend in canada is not a guarentee to acquire a visa. You need to prove how you got in touch with her, how long you've been in the relationship, what she does for a living and your status in society. You got to equally prove your ties back home i.e: that you will return after your visit. If you are not married it will be difficult. You will be lucky to have a visitors visa. The duration may depend on the number of applications available

@@jnr.REDEEMERTV1 very interesting question. It will be an advantage for her to come down first to fraternize and associate. Try and keep all your correspondence (WhatsApp messages, SMS, letters any) as a means of proof. You can marry traditionally and endorse at the registry as a proof of ties. That will give you an advantage than you attempting to go there first.

I know it's a while interview about visas as a whole but I think the most important thing he should have said is that you should contact the embassy first before doing any...... About your visa... Now the most common visa that almost every badsy give out is 1. Education visa, 2. Tourist visa, 3. Working visa. And country has different process you will go through in order to optain a visa and that process can change waiting months that's why I said you need to contact the embassy to before doing anything for an example to get a Russia education visa you will have to apply for admission with the school and then the school gets you an invitation for education after getting the invitation the embassy other documents you have to get and add to a copy of the invitation then after getting all the documents you apply for an appointment with embassy and on the date of appointment you go and apply for your visa and also do your interview and make payements for applications and everything the main reason why you have to call the embassy first is that they can make changes in the kind of documents you need at anytime do relying on what someone told you might be wrong example I applied for Russian student visa in 2017 and the embassy didn't demand for receipt of either half payment or full payment of school fees and also receipt for health insurance so when I got to Russia and I later wanted to changey school to another so I had to get an invitation again from the new school I wanna go to and come back home and come back home to get another visa so when I came back in 2019 for another visa the embassy was demand different documents like receipt of school visa fees, receipt for health insurance, bank statements, so it's best to let the embassy tell you what the current process is

It's something called "strength of a passport". Ghana's passport is visa free to 62 countries too, but some of those countries will need a visa before they come to Ghana. In the same way, we are visa free to some countries, because their passports are stronger than ours.
