I burst into tears when I watched this video, how blessed is your family in China. I'm so jealous. My family moved out of Shanghai to the US 20+ years ago. We had so much passion and love for America when we first came here. We never thought it would be such a challenge as the city where we came from (Shanghai) was such a huge modern international city, all cultures, and foreigners are welcomed and embraced there. However, we were never fully accepted into the local except by other immigrants. Our only daughter was raised here in the US. When she was still a little girl at school, no one played with her at the school playground, some kids made fun of her eyes; one kid slammed the door on her causing her tender fingers to break; some boys bullied her in the school; the day she wore a beautiful barbie dress to school that I bought, other kids laughed at her and made fun of her as others only wore T-shirts and shorts. We Chinese are peaceful and compassionate people, when I saw homeless people, I couldn't stop handing over money to them, and I couldn't stop giving to the poor. On the contrary, the majority of people are so cold here, almost every day I could find some hateful words against China and Chinese people or Asians. In China, the government, the schools, and all social media emphasize caring for each other, exemplify kind or good behaviors (deeds) towards others, and put those otherwise to shame. Why in the US are those hateful words, lying tongues, and unkind or even destructive behaviors growing like wildfire and unchecked in the US???

@@china-ustechnologicalparit3000 That is one way to look at it. The other choice we got is remain loving both countries. Love the strong and the weak, they both need our love. China population is 4.35 times the US population, yet China has way less arable land than USA. According to Google, officially or unofficial Chinese Christians today has exceeded their USA brothers and sisters. God sent us here for a very obvious reason. Right?

@orangutan4696 plenty of arable land in China currently left void. For example,North East China is experiencing population decline in rural area due to young people move to big cities. Also, there are plenty really really plenty of land waiting for farmers to rent all around the world.

What we hear and see from the western media about China and its government are very different from what we personally hear from the foreigners living in China. I now know there are so many foreigners living in China and they all love it and appreciate it. I also realize a lot of people from Africa moved to China and many African girls married to Chinese guys and they all love it and they could speak Mandarin really well which I find it amazing as it is not an easy language to learn. So kudos to these African girls and guys as well as other foreigners who are able to speak Chinese language. I see this lady on this video with such a personable personality and speaks mandarin very well. The video mentioned she is also on twitter and has millions of followers and hope more and more people especially in the west will resist to be brainwashed about China and its govt by the western media. Like some foreigners being interviewed on Kwesi's videos said go to China with an open mind and stop watching what the media says about China and I feel that is the right approach! kzread.info_UkHG_nuCuE?feature=share

10:51 this part is important to note for westerners, especially americans. even when there are serious border disagreements between countries, it stays as a political topic to be resolved at the appropriate level, as these things happen, especially in the post-decolonisation era where some post-colonial borders are disputed. it does *not* descend into racially or culturally dehumanising the other party in the dispute, it does not have to descend to racial hatred. we can compartmentalise.

And I had to say if a foreigner really want to know Chinese culture, he or she must to go to the cities like weihai, because you know Beijing or Shanghai are too 'international', small cities are maybe more 'Chinese''. Foreigners in China must abandon religions especially one that destroyed their own country. Philippines is so religious that it is totally destroyed by religions. They come to atheist China ruled the Communist Party, they realize China is much better than their religious countries, they like China but they want to push the bad religious stuffs from their country onto China. They must learn one of the main reasons China is such a good country is because it opposes religions that have destroyed so many other countries. Foreigners who promote religions that destroyed their own countries should not be allowed to stay in China, they should be sent back to their own countries and not allowed in China again.

I hope this woman only teaches English and not spreading her religion like a preacher to Chinese. You can have your religion but just keep it to yourself.

How is she posting to Facebook and KZread to share China if those websites are blocked in China? Wouldn't she have to break the law to do that? Or do they only post things to sites like that when they leave China and go to the Philippines or something? God forbid anyone would break the law and use a VPN..

You do know that King Kwesi is using the vpn so you can even see this interview right? I’m pretty sure that almost all expatriates use vpn to access whatever they need to. Also some Chinese that want to use vpn to set up their own KZread channels for business purposes some of these channels have millions of views too. Also lots of Chinese media companies show their tv series on KZread as well. It’s only a matter whether they want to access or pay for these services or not. Most people don’t want to pay extra if they don’t need to.

Using fb and other international social media sites is not illegal in China. they just can't access it as its block. and VPN is allowed to be used for some people. Eg expats, companies that needs it for their export/online businesses, students studying courses that require research online. Furthermore. They don't really enforce the laws on VPN as anyone who can get a subscription can use it. But majority dont bother as their local social media is more than enough for most people.

Basically the firewall is not so much to stop Chinese peering out into the world but stop NSA, CIA and other spy agencies from peering in to steal data and spreading misinformation. However western media reverse the logic with intention to deceive the world on what china is really like.

I take it she's Catholic? I wonder how that is perceived. Lol she might not have a problem not getting in the way of the system, but not everyone can say that. I know i'd be in trouble for talking about the history of Tibet and wanting to discuss their narrative, thankfully I'm allowed to do the equivalent where I'm at without having to worry about having my life destroyed.. For now. They're trying to destroy our 4 olds though..
