I have two of them , one of the best pool rc boats I have . And I have many . I have never sunk one and all my grandkids drive them pretty aggressive.

It's actually not a bad little boat I did fix it, the battery shorted out blew a hole in the side of it burnt some other wires etc so It was dissapointing first run it leaked and blew up but it's like anything one can have a bad experience doesn't mean they're rubbish hence why I didn't verbally bag them in the video thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

Hey, were you happy about that? Lol nice video. Definitely have to use waterproof electronics. I just built a small brushless jet boat. Lots of fun.

Mine doesnt like self righting but has never sank. Hope you worked it out, horizon are pretty good about sending replacements

It takes some getting use to but if you flick it forward reverse quickly it flips over it took me a while but now get it easy enough

Watching how nimble that little boat is it could quite easily do a slalom course . I have another brand ordered on the way slightly larger and I am looking to upgrade the motor to brushless and these boats fly and still retain that nimble agility. Yeah Mate bigger mah battery = more fun I'm just getting into this hobby as I'm over drones and the BS that seems to be coming into that hobby. OH yeah floatation would help , but if the hatch cover wasn't down tight and sealed your going to be swimming . Hope you got your boat back it'll dry out motor maybe history and the electronic gear . WLtoys have a similar one slightly bigger at half the price but as seen in your video the running gear is very similar. Keeping it simple is the way to go so even old guys like me can relate info. I did recover the boat got it running again I don't know how it got water in it, it shorted the battery that was what that little explosion was I replaced that cleaned up the burnt wiring I like it to take camping etc bit of fun in small spaces it's spot on thank you for the sub welcome to the channel pleasure to have you on board everyone is appreciated here thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

Horizon has been pushing products out and letting us the consumer be their Bata testers and it has only gotten worse recently. This way even if it's under warranty they can screw you and say it was miss-use of the product and there for will not be covered under the warranty. This happened with a brand new carbon cub I picked up and the second flight the ESC went up in smoke and cooked the flight controller and receiver as well. Was told since I wasn't using their over priced spektrum batteries it was my own fault. I sent them a email with a video attachment showing me stuffing it into a garbage can with my foot and stating i will never buy a product from them again and will do all I can so others don't make the mistake of buying their crap

Wow that's extremely unlucky and only the second flight I agree the warranty can be difficult to get it's the so easy to just blame us they're only shooting themselves in the foot the experienced hobbiest is the one who buys the product but the word of an experienced hobbiest isn't good enough the battery shorted out out in this blew a small hole in it I was able to get it going again with another battery but my opion had been sowed thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

@@rcuintheshed6981 I had one other experience with a brand new UMX Pitts that would not bind to any radio, tried 2 of my radios and 3 other radios at my local field and would just get the flashing light. Was a giant pain to deal with and was right after the "big change" within the company and I was truly disappointed because they had amazing customer service in the past.

I put a Brushless set in Hobbywing and now its brutal fun even on 2S way more powerfull than stock! I run it upstreams on rocky brooks and it perform amazing! If you want a cheap alternative buy the WL Toys WL 917 way more powerfull stock than the Sprint Jet.

Yer cool that sounds awesome I did retrieve the boat and get it going again I actually like taking it camping for the rivers and streams there actually a fun little boat and considering the jet stream is $995 in Australia that's a good option thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

Either battery or motor I recovered the boat later Either way something blew up 🧨I'll have a look at why it blew up I'm curious 👍👊💯

There's a irrigation hose it ran over that but it's a jet boat it's only a soft hose no prop on the boat the hose made it flip but it's spose to have a self right system soon as I hit the throttle it blew up turned out the battery shorted out somehow the boat got water in it I fixed it got it running again it's not a bad boat just be aware they can get water in them water and electrics don't mix

i seen one guy did 3 s on stock esc . you should try it .

The boat itself is a pretty good package this got water inside it and shorted the battery fried some wires I was able to get it going again and have used again since liked it for camping by the river .... just make sure no water is getting in you'll be sweet thank you for watching and commenting very appreciated 👊

That's pretty much why I never got into boats or planes. The local damn near me where the blokes run their boats has a Kayak off to the side. It's like the walk of shame watching the old blokes row out to grab their toys. I'm happy to just watch the boats and planes. . . I think I'll stick to land vehicles.

@@rcuintheshed6981 Yeah. My fear is it dying and just floating out in the middle. And then watching it slowly float towards the total opposite side of the lake/dam. And then with planes. My fear is driving all the way to a runway. Taxiing and the plane goes up, then the plane comes down. Hard. Or it just keeps on flying out of view while I look at it. I tried a helicopter once. It's probably still up in that big old Red Gum. Close to where the cockys sit.

So what happened?? I have 3 of these and never seen anything like it just go down like that!

After I fished it out of the dam the esc and battery had black marks on them I changed them and it's working again now I can only imagine it must have been taking on water somewhere somehow and shorted out you can hear the pop in the video cheers for watching and commenting 👍👊💯

It was getting water inside somehow then the battery shorted out .... I've got it running again now I could never work out where the water got in that time I've only used it for shorter stints after that and had no issues it's actually good value and a lot of fun cheers for watching and commenting 👊 💯

That's wild. Haven't heard of that happening before. I have one and my girlfriend has 2. They're barely hobby grade. I'm putting a brushless on mine right now. Hacker 4900kv. My biggest issue is that the boat did not have a 390 motor. It's a 370. Huge difference. Big lie on Horizon's part

You don't see on the camera it shot a small flame out of the jet so I think the battery blew haven't had a chance to pull it down yet a brushless upgrade in these would make them awesome I was really impressed by it before it sank cheers for watching 👊👍💯
