Could you suggest me what lenses are good for indoor activity and what is good for outdoor activity specifically night driving.? I only have single vision / distance. -1.5 &-1.75

Night driving... Zeiss DriveSafe. For general use, either Zeiss Smartlife or Hoya Sync 3 lenses if you do loads of computer work.

I work at an optical in Canada and we're the only ones in the country to have a Visufit 1000. Cool technology but still got a long way to go in terms of integration within the workflow.

Hi, Thank you for the awesome video. I’m going with Zeiss but having a hard time deciding between Drivesafe vs Smartlife individual single vision lenses, I love the antiglare in drivesafe I have this issue driving at night but at the same time I work with screen alot I don’t want to miss out on Smartlife, the dealer here says Drivesafe is the flagship that have everything that smartlife has if I choose the individual lenses except for new Blue guard. What do you think I should go for? Also what do you think of Nikon SeeMax Infinite as a competitor? Should I consider them or stick with Zeiss? P.S. I will use Photofusion X with either of the lenses.

Faça os dois, a Zeiss oferece a promoção do segundo par grátis, no caso você faz o primeiro par uma tecnologia e o segundo par outra tecnologia. Obs.: O primeiro par sempre deve ser o mais caro, no caso eu acredito que seja a Smartlife Individual Photofusion X com Duravision Platinum e o segundo par Individual Drivesafe photofusion X com Duravision Planitum. Espero ter ajudado.

Hi, Is it possible to have Zeiss Blue Guard lenses in smartlife version and PRO but also with tint 30-40% ? Its important for my future upgrade 👀 to know. Regards

Yes, except the Blue Guard would be pointless because the 30% tint would block way more blue light than BG.

How does this compare to the DriveSafe? Do both block blue light? Doesn’t DriveSafe help peripheral and depth perception?

Good question. To put it simply, DriveSafe places more emphasis on distance vision, and SmartLife places more emphasis on near vision. The reality is that most people will benefit from a pair of each. As for Blue Light, SmartLife lenses do not inherently block blue light but can have a Blue Light filter added. DriveSafe only blocks a particular wavelength of Blue Light which is associated with headlight glare.

Good question. I'm divided between DriveSafe and SmartLife. Which one should I buy? I'm an IT Professional but also in my country we don't have much street lights which makes driving a little more defying. What's your advice? Please

@@mpeao2 Mario, if you are an IT professional then Smart life digital with DuraVision BlueProtect UV is the ideal combo. I'm getting a pair for myself.

Freeform is a manufacturing technique that all lens suppliers use to customise lenses. SmartLife is a new lens design which is implemented using freeform manufacturing.

Clearview is a stock lens. Smartlife is more customized and a bit more premium. Individual smartlife are even more customized but they aren't a big step up compared to normal smartlife unless your frame is curved.

Unfortunately not - no lens can be optimised in every single way. The best option is to have one of each! And then also have a couple of different frame styles as well.

Hmmm. In the US all Crizal lenses have UV. Actually, I've always gotten UV protection in my glasses for the past 25+ years.

Hi Tanya, there are different levels of UV protection. Whilst some lenses do block UV, the amount they block is very dependent on the material they are made from . Zeiss UV protect means that all Zeiss lenses protect your eyes from UV to 400nm no matter what material they are made from, and that is the first time this has been achieved. Also, just a tip but Crizal is not a type of lens but a type of coating which is applied to lenses. Have a great day!

@@thespectaclefactory how do you think about Essilor BlueUV Capture? It's no longer just a coating anymore, would be appreciated if you have a video compare Essilor BlueUV Capture vs Zeiss BlueGuard

I'm currently using SmartLife Digital Individual Tech from Zeiss, and the experience is being horrible. First of all, I can only see sharp at the bottom of the lenses (where Zeiss says it is optimized for smartphones or so even a book, because you're looking down). And that's true, but the rest, I can't see sharp, even at all side of the lenses, it is blurry. If you're using this technology as well, do you feel the same? I have to move my neck for everything, because if I move just my eyes, it is blurry :(

Sounds like either your prescription needs to be adjusted, or the individualised measurements were measured or supplied incorrectly. Can I ask how the measurements were taken? The lens design itself wouldn't make your vision blurred.

@@thespectaclefactory I'm going back to the ophthalmologist as I'm suspicious about the prescription as well. I also sent to Zeiss an email about this, to clear up some doubts. The measurements were taken 10 months ago and I did the eyeglasses 2 weeks ago with this same prescription (because of a promo)... :S

@@paulorockz6899 It sounds like they sold you progressive lenses. They are not going to be sharp except for the center if your prescription is bad enough...

just get my similar Essilor Eyezen (supposed to worked like Zeiss Smartlife Digital) and I have the exact same symptom as yours. It isn't sharp anymore if my eyes are try look around, I have to move the whole neck. Probably same problem for all digital lenses?

@@phugia963 The previous ophthalmologist prescribed me a completely wrong lens axis and it was the main cause of this problem. I made an appointment with a new ophthalmologist with the correct axis and was able to get a new pair of lenses without having to pay for it

What are the differences between Zeiss SmartLife and Zeiss Digital lenses?

SmartLife is a new design language based on research into modern visual behaviour. Digital is a lens type which gives moderate support with near vision. So you can have SmartLife Digital and they will be a more optimised version of the old Digital lenses. Hope this makes sense.

Yes, definitely. If you're looking to reduce your contact lens wear, SmartLife lenses make your vision very comfortable in glasses. If you're only wearing them occasionally, I'd go with EnergizeMe instead

@@thespectaclefactory The term smart life, i don't see how is it different then Zeiss EnergizeMe Digital lens. also this product is about to launch in my country.. so i was just trying to get more information about this product which is no where to be found, except its benefits being shown everywhere.
