Thank for the video i also think the same and you should add about the potential Burn-in when gaming in certain games with static Hub. i think Mini-Led are more appropriate for gaming. TVs even though being big display seems to offer better and better value every year compared to monitor sadly. I'm seriously considering something like the new Hisense U8K and make a kind of Couchmaster setup.

I agree I just grabbed a 48 inch 4k OLED. It’s the most beautiful monitor ever to me BUT it was a grand and I never spent so much. And I’m so afraid of screen burn in so I’m always making sure to shut it off when downloading games and everything else.

It's not even expensive considering what you get for it and how long it will last. You get a good Oled display and it instantly enhances your media consumption experience and won't be truly outdated for 5+ years. Or you can spend almost 2x the price for a GPU that will be mid range in 18 months.

This is crazy to me, I understand this is a video designed shine light on the pros and cons of these monitors but coming from a 27in 144hz 1080p monitor to the alienware 34in QD OLED I literally couldn't imagine a better monitor and I'm never looking back. It was worth every dollar. Personally I think you got a monitor addiction.

@Siddharth I have qd oled too and no it does not, I play cs go time to time, it does not bother me but at the same time it looks AMAZING for high fidelity games like cyberpunk/ Forza. Also, for this particular model I use hdr 1000 which lowers down the overall brightness a bit to allow for higher peak brightness on parts.

I've got the AW qd-oled as well and I haven't had a single issue since I pre-ordered. Even the ones he pointed out. You'd expect first batch to have some problems but I think it shows they did their testing. Worth every penny.

Yep, using the recent lg one for couple of weeks now and.. I just dont see it ruining me, I had QHD 60hz until now rofl, I dont buy monitors often, but I wanted something what can increase the atmosphere of certain dark and scary games by having pure black so I waited for such monitors start popping up in reasonable resolutions to size ratio and refresh rates. It achieves my goal brilliantly and I don't think I am going to look for something new anytime soon.

Been on a LG Oled 48inch 120hz tv for 2 years now. Has been the most substantial upgrade to my pc so far. It’s the HDR experience that brought the 4K screen to lifelike images. I could never go back to anything smaller.

About a year and a half on mine, I wouldn't say I couldn't go smaller, 42" would have been nice if it existed at the time for the slightly higher PPI and I could get a little closer. But in general the big screen OLED 4k HDR experience is definitely a big improvement, it makes any game look much better and much more enjoyable. Best 1k I have ever spent on a tech purchase, feels like great value for money even at the high price. Then you compare it to GPUs that are more expensive and are outdated tech in just 18 months when another 1k+ GPU comes out, it's just ridiculous. My next upgrade for this display will have probably when 4k 240hz or 8k 120hz can be had for the same price as I paid for this and the hardware has to be available to drive it. Also by then Oled brightness should either be resolved or maybe it will just be microLED.

@@AVerySillySausage I have the LG CX for about 2 years now and I tried going smaller with the Alienware Ultrawide. I noticed I couldn't easily adapt to a smaller screen this time around. The 48" of the LG CX is just too damn immersive.

It's physics. To drive them LEDs brighter, they'll need to dissipate more heat. Even with placing them on an aluminium plate to improve cooling, there's a limit to how many one can put on a square mm. That's why you get a fairly mediocre DPI, which then translates into larger displays.

I recently decided to swap over to a 42" LG C2 Evo from my single 27" 4k and two 27" 1440p monitors, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. I have the C2 mounted on the wall just above my desk, and it is hands down the best display I've ever had. I was able to get it on sale last month for $899, and since I live in Montana, I didn't have to pay any sales tax 🙂 For the price, I thought it was the absolute best option because everything else was way more expensive and didn't look as good. I don't play any FPS games that would merit higher than 120hz refresh rate, so this tv as a display has been absolutely perfect!

@@berit9 I almost got the 48” C2, but after watching a few videos, I decided on the 42”. It does seem big at first, but I’ve found that I absolutely love the screen real estate. I normally sit back about 3 or 4 feet when I’m watching videos or playing games.

@@idratherberidingnow I've not really had any issues with the screen dimming. There are energy saving options in the TV that help to minimize the screen from dimming, and I only ever see the screen dim when I'm not active on my PC, and that usually takes a bit for it to dim. I also have seen that if it has dimmed and I go back to activity on my PC, the screen will usually brighten back pretty quickly.

As someone who just bought and upgraded from a regular IPS 1440p monitor to an Alienware AW3423DWF last week.... too late. Rabbit hole opened, now considering GPU upgrade for going to ultrawide lol. I love the change from 27" 16:9 to 34" 21:9 though.

You might be interested that the screen films were originally developed to cover the old LED message boards in the late 80s. The old bumpy LED boards nothing like today. They came in a range of flatness/dullness and blackout. You are one of the few to realize it just diffuses the reflections.

I use a Samsung qe55s95b for my 4090 gaming pc. What settings do you use on NCP? I use vsyn ON and frame generator on in game seems to be really smooth in most games.

Honestly im totally happy with 27" 1440p options, EXCEPT there still is no glossy model. I am one of those people who thinks matte finish kills the colors of a monitor. I currently have a 42" c2 and it looks miles better than the 27" models ive seen in store, mostly just because of the glossiness

im the opposite, i prefer matt and find it harder to find non-glossy finishes as all i see are my lights reflecting lol

I hate how people are becoming FPS whores in online gaming. I'm on a 60hz productiviy monitor with (I think) 8ms response time and still find myself in the 80th percentile of CoD players in terms of game score and game win/loss ratio. Whatever advantage you get from a ~20ms difference is literally 1-2 frames when running at 60fps; and I'm sorry less than 5% of gamers can measure a 1-2 frame timing difference in real time without their attention being directed to it. Even those that can see a difference, would admit that 1) just because you percieve the difference it only means that it is *possible* that one display showed information sooner than the other not that it absolutely will; and 2) even if the information was shown 20ms sooner, it is not enough of a difference to decide a successful or failure response at their competitive level in most cases and definitely not at the average 'competitive/try-hard' gamer level. No, the reason you're getting headshot with precision is because the other player's mouse + keyboard control is better than yours and their ability to predict exceeds yours. They could be on a 60hz display situation and you on 360hz with lower system latency and network latency; you'd still be fucked. And lastly, so many people out there running around with network latency that kind of make their system latency reductions irrelevant. People don't realize that netcode means you're always looking at an interpolation of where a player is and not actual. Having better system latency can't hurt, but instead of spending $800 more on display + graphics card upgrades, spend it on better network gear and internet service (fiber). More than half of the time I play CoD; I'm running on 1ms ping -- no joke. Not ever fluctuating off of it. 360hz with 60ms ping isn't going to beat me at 60hz with 1ms ping. Tips: don't buy 'gaming' routers, learn how to set up a real router + switches + wifi access points, and game on ethernet always. Also, turn off any stupid fucking software that pretends it can optimize your gaming latency. That shit slows you down for sure, and for me damn near broke FFXIV network entirely. Don't even buy into those "we route your connection through our data centers and it's faster" either. It's a rare situation normal internet routing protocols don't actually find and use the best route.

Grats on being 80th percentile with dogshit FPS and input lag. You should at least feel what 144hz or even 240hz *feels* like before commenting on this. I say "feels" because HZ/fps also affects how fast your own inputs occur on your screen.

OLED is very bad for eye health and brain. Extreme contrast with artificial lighting is very bad for eyes and brain, this is why people complain about OLED eye strain and headaches, with displays you want a more level flat overall lighting affect when using display panels, "IPS glow" is actually a good thing for eye health and brain health, because it's easier on the eyes to adjust to when eye dilation process to your brain.

Obviously 4K would be a nice option to have but that would cost more and more to run it at 240z as well so for a lot of people 2k 240z is perfect at this size

However while you can get a decent monitor for just about 300€, I haven't found a decent 55" 4K TV for the same price. Also it must be a very low percentage of people that are buying a 300€ gaming monitor to watch TV in the livingroom.

The LG C2 is the way to go. It has everything I want. oled, 4K, 120hz. Nothing else on the market has those specs at an affordable price. The only downside is that its a little big if youre using it mainly for a gaming monitor, I wish they made a smaller one. I mostly play single player games so 120hz is more than enough for me.

The KTC 42 is the same panel but a bit more IO and can OC' to 138Hz. Both are pretty slick but the 90w usbC power delivery and the KTC42 just made it the winner in my book.

@@JoeBlow-ub1us I ended up returning it for the LG 27" oled monitor. 42" was too big for my small room, it was making me dizzy sitting only 3ft away. About the 32" 4K oled's that's coming out, I'll wait for a price drop at $1K or below plus I'll need to upgrade my graphics card to a 4090xg mobile which is super expensive. As of now I'm good with gaming at 1440, 60fps on my 27" OLED monitor.

I have it. The biggest downside in my opinion is that it doesn't have Flicker-Free technology. So if you use it all day you may be very fatigued. I use it a couple hours to play games and the rest of the day I use my other monitors.

Man, after I saw those release I thought for sure the high speed OLED would be one more common in gaming laptops and that's what I was waiting for this year. For some reason they never came out to any other manufacturers or models even within their own lineup and have been abandoned. I ended up getting a 240hz 16:10 Mini-LED with 1,024 zones and 1,100 peak nits of brightness on my ASUS M16 as the next best thing. The max brightness is absolutely incredible - bright lights really do make me flinch with how strong they are, just like in real life. The contrast is amazing as well as a result of the brightness and zones. But, it does have bloom in dark scenes as all LCDs will do, and the OLED displays will definitely beat the mini-LED in that regard and the grey-to-grey response times. So, I hope the high speed OLED displays come back to laptops.

Loving my 48 inch OLED from LG Ultragear, 139 Hz and the HDR effect is actually brighter then HDR. lol

I wasnt able to grasp how good oled was until i got one to see for myself. If you like hdr, an oled will make sdr content look hrd. Even watching this video i know what it should really look like. It is magical, it pushes your limits of perception, vibrance and clarity to the max. It is as if the blacks are magnetic, absorbing visable light like a black hole. Its not something i can express in words

I still use a PG27UQ personally. I've been waiting for a 4K OLED panel that's glossy and at least 32 inches or smaller. Until then I'll stick with the PG27UQ. It's not like it's awful, it's just not nearly as good as that would be.

@N7 Andy I thought it was a pretty good deal considering it was the only HDR monitor on the market and had a full array backlight before anything other than $3K+ TVs did even while also being one of few displays with a single response time toggle across the entire range. I'm more disappointed the PG27UQX never really came out. They announced it only like a month after I got the monitor and it's been like 5 years now.

@N7 Andy I still don't think it's worth it. A 48 inch display literally would not fit in my setup, I'd have to completely restructure my entire room as my desk barely has the space for the two displays I have on it and on both sides of it are filing cabinets that weigh over 300 pounds. That's just out of the question for me. Plus those features aren't really a massive improvement to me. Yeah the 27UQ only uses 10 bit up to 98hz, but most games don't even utilize 10 bit color in a noticeable way. The only game I've noticed a difference is Final Fantasy 15 and it's pretty subtle. And 12 bit is irrelevant as no content on PC supports 12 bit color, there are no dolby vision games on PC so it would only matter for streaming apps which I personally don't use other than KZread (which also doesn't). Personally I just leave my monitor on 8 bit 120hz all the time. Also G sync on the LG isn't the same as it doesn't support LFC (low frame rate compensation). It means you're only getting VRR down to around 48hz while on the 27UQ you still get the effect down to around 15-20fps. And pricing of course the C2 is dirt cheap now, it's 5 years after the 27UQ came out and I got it only a year after it came out for $1400. Back then the cheapest LG was still 55 inches and $2200 and only on sale for down to $1800 on black friday. There are now monitors with better specs than the 27UQ for $700, they just aren't enough an upgrade for me to say it's worth it. Besides, this thing is still one of the brightest monitors you can get and I do like a vibrant screen. Plus OLED wouldn't work with how I watch youtube mainly minimized as 1080p footage on a 4K display looks pretty awful so I usually don't watch 1080p content full screen. That would definitely burn in. And I think you're thinking the PG32UQX. That was an obnoxiously over priced display, but it is the brightest monitors at like 1800 nits in some tests and is a 1000 dimming zone monitor. As I said, the PG27UQX never actually came out. It was talked about by them for a few years but never actually showed up. Even found posts on Reddit asking if it was shelved (I think it was).

I was glad when IPS panels finally became fast. But what I have missed from monitors is good black, even as a kid. Not just that it's black, but LCD has such an unpleasant sheen.

Im using a 42 c2 as a monitor is it worth upgrading to this?

LG C2 42" got it sale at 760€ (in Finland) for PC-gaming. 10/10 and it was cheaper than new 1440p tiny 27" oled monitors. Never going back to 27" monitors.

the 42 inch LG c2 is the best option, even if you upscale from 1080p. ABL is a problem thou. The Asus 42 inch OLED would be better since it has a heatsink, but that is matt and far more expensive. Kinda fun that no company actually made the OLED we all want.

@@7evive I havent tested it myself, so I can only go from hearsay. My understanding is that 1080p upscales better to 4k because you have 4 pixels to 1 ratio (basically 4 squares create a bigger square) instead of 2 pixels to 1 where you wont get that clean mathematical upscale.

With Hisense's unless looking so awesome I think I may just get one of those. They just need to make a smaller screen. The u8h is awesome and suppose to be gatherin getting better this year.

Do oled overclock well? My Vizio led tv went to 90hz from 60hz.

I bought the LG C2 48inch OLED over a week ago to replace a ten year old LG 37inch HDTV, which is still functional btw and is now used as my bedroom TV. It is hands down the best gaming TV/monitor I could possibly afford and I have yet to be disappointed by the LG C2, especially since I use both PS5 and PC. My next big project for the year is to build my tiny apartment's living room around this screen and build for myself a full surround system with a brand new AVR later this year, and build my own surround speakers. It's going to be fun!!!

I got the LG C2 as well 3 weeks ago. For PS4 60hz on fifa23 I CAN NOT RECOMMEND it. Crossplay is deactivated so i only Play against PS4 players. Everybody is fastet iam so slow. Input lag at C2 with 60HZ is 11ms. I think its Not good enough. I change it probably for a real Monitor 32inch. Rabbit hole is insane 😢😂

I know it’s very super early for someone like you to have burn-in on the oled, but just wondering if that’s something you are worried about when gaming. Currently waiting for the Asus 240hz OLED they have revealed to be released this Q1, and my only concern is the burn-in. I do understand it will happen eventually, however I would like the monitor to be used for a good 5-6 years before needing to be replaced. I really only play 2 games (OW2 and FN, but I play others sometimes) and I play games for about 5-6 hours a day (8ish on weekends and stuff lol). Just doing a ton of research before possibly wasting money lol

So in your opinion, what is the best 4k curved (widescreen or not) monitor between 27-34" you can buy today? If price isn't a factor.

Also wanting to know this. I have money to burn. I have a 60Hz 1440p IPS at the moment. I want to upgrade it in every conceivable way. Doesn't need to be curved for me... My demand is that it has to be MATTE. So many of these, you can see yourself in like a mirror. Nasty.

I have the LG 27in OLED... not sure where the complaint about brightness comes from because I moved from an old TN BenQ Zowie 144 27in and this LG has been worth every penny to me.

I just bought one and see people complaining about the brightness but also see the same monitor in a bright lit room in other videos and the monitor is giving off a good brightness and not dim at all, might just be some real idiots lmao.

I have an 83 inch LG G2 in my living room, along with a PerListen 5.2 surround system. I only use my desk for games that absolutely demand a keyboard, OLED plus great sound is just too great.

i'm using 4k since my 1080ti and im still surprised that after so many years it's still too hard to run 4k

120hz on an OLED is about equal to 165-185 on a LCD. It's completely fine. Also the C1 I have gets uncomfortably bright in SDR. 115-125 nits with abl off is perfect (35-40 brightness).

Is that true? I been playing on a benq 240hz monitor for years and I just upgraded to the new lg 27 inch oled and it truly does look and feel faster then 240hz lol like I know on paper the lg oled monitor clearly states its 240hz but damn it really does feel like the refresh rate is higher then what it says.

@@IXICREATUREIXI It has to do with the pixel response time. You're getting a fraction of a millisecond with OLED while most IPS monitors are several ms.

Hey man, is the 27 inch LG less blue than the C2 Evo 42 inch? When set my C2 to warm 50 it still is too blueish like a filter over the image (blueish maybe with a little bit green?) and lighting is too yellowish.

That’s because current LG OLED displays just can’t get bright enough. You can get the white point correct when doing a full calibration, but sometimes it will look a bit off thanks to the white sub pixel and low brightness.

@@GraphicallyChallenged is it better on the 27 inch one or is it pretty similar? My C2 is freaking blueish with eye slapping white. 😅I don't have a calibrator but maybe I need to buy one. I tried some things like turn down yellow after setting it to warm 50, red a little bit up, lower blue and such things and some Rtings settings but didn't went through the full calibration for white point because I was really annoyed because of the picture and my eyes or head also made some problems. It arrived on monday and I was so so excited but now I am a little bit dissapointed and maybe I am too sensitive to a blueish touch. And maybe because my M32U is a low blue light panel without setting anything and I am so used to it. I don't know man.

I must be brain dead, I watch this video twice and I still don’t understand why not to get an OLED for PC gaming.

I got the "Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLED Gaming Monitor - AW2725DF" and I do have to say it's an absolute no go for me with the colour fringing. I can see it especially clear when using a small crosshair in cs2 and increasing my saturation (which I like to do to make the colours pop more). And it just buggs the hell outta me. Aside from that it's a great monitor. But I will return it and get an IPS instead. Hope this helps some, as I wasn't aware it would be that noticable. cheers

I bought a LG C1 OLED 55” one year ago, now all other monitors looks low-specs for me!! Im using it with PS5, now buying a LG 34” Curved for my PC with VA Panel. That would be amazing if LG makes any 32~38” OLED curved monitor :,(

I have the ASUS ROG 42" OLED paired with 4090 and it is fire.

I was ruined a few years ago when I bought a lg48cx my first oled experience for my pc setup. Now I own 2 48 lc cx, 55 inch s95b, 55 inch a95k, and 65 inch c2. I will be upgrading my Samsung g9 neo super ultrawide to the oled version soon lol

How do you use that many monitors? You have pc setups in multiple locations?

i have a 55 in LG c2 that i use as my "gaming monitor/TV" and i love it. i have my screen mounted on the wall on the far side of my bedroom and its perfect for my use case. the input lag is ultra low and you cant beat the screen quality.

I'm thinking of doing the same setup. Across from my bed with an extendable mount if I want to move it closer. All I keep hearing about is burn in but I think that kind of thing has been reduced alot with these newer models.

How much time have you put in your oled have you gotten any screen burning on your monitor I'm surprised you didn't mention any of that 🤔 is it working good on burn In?

@@GraphicallyChallenged trust me, once you will experiment it (i wish not for you), you'll belive in it... trust me... Now i will only consider LED monitors and TVs, OLED is great for smartphones and tablets, that'is it and that' good for now! + new Nano IPS and VA have very nice PQ and perfs!

I still hope that LG and Nvidia can resurrect 3D technology in the future. We need it back.

If OLED displays fix their inevitable burn in, I'll probably buy one for PC. Problem is, the taskbar is displayed most of the time, making it an easy target for burn in. I know you can just make the taskbar pop up when it needs to, but a few seconds makes a lot of difference (and frustration). Smartphones are slightly different due to them not having a taskbar but instead a home button or gesture bar. Generally my phone's OLED has performed quite well with minimal burn in, it's only noticeable on the notifications bar and the gesture bar. That's not to say that all OLED screens are perfect though. I own a ps vita and that has a OLED display, and has a lot of glaring artifacts like mura, greenish greys and burn in.

What do you think of Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 34-inch monitor?

Bought a C2 when it dropped to $800. I don't have a good enough GPU to get over 120 fps yet anyway.

I just want a 1440p 24.5" 240-360hz OLED monitor with a glossy screen! That would be my end game!

I bet it'll be hugely popular this year, so price drop will not happen right away. Also if it's not bright enough or you don't like the finish you can always return it.

With such a low PPI on the 45 inch, only being 1440p, it’s just not going to look good on static screens. It’s also 1700 bucks, LG is MAD

I just don't get it why there aren't more glossy monitors out there. I mean Apple is the only company who's selling glossy monitors since I can remember and people love it. From designers, video/photo editors or just "regular" people - and I'm pretty sure a lot of gamers would love it too. I'm working 5+ hours a day on a studio display which is simply beautiful (despite the 60hz) but when I turn on my gaming monitor after working on the mac it's like going back to 2008. So please LG, Samsung or whoever: - Full 4K resolution 27" (no wide/curved) - Yes if you're a pixel peeper or used to the Liquid retina, WQHD is NOT enough - OLED with 300+ Nits - 240 Hz - Glossy Display finish It can't be that hard?!

Waiting for a 32" 4k OLED with a high refresh rate, before I upgrade. I will also need to upgrade my GPU also , yah what I have will game at 4k but it's a struggle to get 120 fps

Can't go back to 16:9 after using curved 21:9 3440x1440 (LG 34GN850-B). It's a bit demanding on GPUs, but for productivity, it's great. So much so I'm getting a Dell 3422DWG for my backup machine. OLED? Too expensive, and burn-in if you do a lot of desktop work. Not necessary for my line of work, although I'm wondering if they make giant OLED TVs in 21:9....

If you like your brightness to constantly automatically go from 100% to 50% as soon as your camera is pointing at white/light stuff, then POS oled is for you. I have a c3 and i never regretted money spent like I do with this overglorified paperweight. And I honestly can't understand what kind of mental issue or demonic possession can bring a human being to state that oled tvs are amazing for gaming? WHAT? it's borderline epilepsy inducing. Sping the camera 3 times around and you experience 27 automatic brightness level changes dry fucking your eyes. If you want to avoid this, you basically have to put this piece of garbage on 40/100 led brightness, which is around the same brightness my 100 dollars HP pc screen has. Nice freaking performance for a 1300 euros tv. I'll never touch an oled again in my life. This technology is for straight up masochists.

Got the QD OLED panel from Alienware as 34 inch Ultrawide... couldnt be happier!

LG C2 is good because it's almost perfect for movies and entertainment, pretty affordable, and also works fine for gaming.

i am going to hold out till holiday deal for a 4k oled high refresh rate monitor around 32 inches would be nice. 42 at the absolute most i would have to wall mount anything over 32 inches id say. but i will not spend over 700 on a oled though. i have 2x 4k 60hz monitors i will use as a triple set up with the oled in the middle for gaming is my plan. def holding out till holiday season 2023 though. they will be alot cheaper and way more choices for sure.

hes right. smaller monitors are finally starting to come out but even theyre flawed or not up to par (coatings and burn in). within a year or few there should be qd-oled glossy panels that will be resistive to burn-in in more sizes

@@stormzo6235 those are screens that you look at and it seems smooth and clear like glass. Usually tvs and phone screens. Most monitors use a soft matte coating that's supposed to reduce reflections at the cost of black levels, vibrance, and sharpness

I think RTINGs proved that QD-OLED is more prone to burn-in than W-OLED, since LG OLED uses white pixels to give higher brightness sacrificing less the panel durability.

I just want a 32" curved oled Gsync monitor is that so much to ask?

They said the same thing about 144 hz and now I had to buy an xtx to keep things smooth

In all practical sence, there is no difference between 175 hz and 244 hz. Not even the best fps gamers in the world can spot the difference.

Just 2 weeks ago upgraded from 32'' VA to 38'' nano-IPS , yes there are less deep black levels , but in color reproduction and fast moving picture IPS are great. I was considering to get OLED for PC wich delivers best possble picture and HDR, no questions there , but there wasnt any options in size 38'' and looks like wont be at least in 2023. So gonna have to wait , to 38'' OLED matte or till micro-LED matte curved comes out.

I did exactly the same, from MSI Optix MAG271CQR AV Panel to LG34GN850-B with IPS. I don't play in the dark and with normal light, this monitor is fantastic. I bought them for 600€+20€ for +3years warranty extra by Amazon. After 1-2 years I will possibly sell that LG and I will "lose" some money, but also OLED will be cheaper and the second Gen will be better 💅

Matte is garbage. It downgrades the picture quality especially for OLED.

Went from a 48" OLED back to multi monitor 27" IPS because I really need the hardware separation back, zones just don't cut it for me :( I really really really hate the IPS glow and everything now.

I'm gonna keep my pc on 34 but I will be getting a 48/55 inch monitor. My current setup is 2 34 inch and a 28 inch I don't use so moving 2 will easily give me space for it. And I can't wait to see what it's like with MLB The Show where speed and size are important.

I dont quite understand where the market is. A 32' OLED seems like it would be the obvious next step for gaming monitor customers but nobody is making them. There are no options for 4K OLED below 42" except for one 27" which is too small IMHO and it is well over $1200. Many people go with a 34" 1440p instead but that seems like a waste of pixels to me, I'd rather have a higher resolution than an extra two inches.

I can't look at a monitor over 24 inches that is not curved, I've had curved for 6+ years now and I went from curved to a flat panel and literally looked like the monitor was bent backwards, hurt my eyes and returned it the next day.

I have a 55 inch LG g1 and i regret That i’ve bought it so much. I’ve just asked 3 Times for RM and the Displays it’s simply pink on the bottom on all of the 3 screens. I can see it clearly on light colors as white, as much on dark colors as grey or black. It’s a nightmare

GTG is good, but you have to factor in input lag. No LCD can come close to competing with OLED on that.

It's insane. To add further to this point, I have the 27" OLED from LG and I tested it with a Timesleuth (Hardware based input lag tester) and a slow motion camera. The timesleuth reports only 2ms of input latency at 60hz, and the slow motion camera on my phone at 480fps showed zero noticeable difference to the eye between that and my Sony PVM side by side via 240p test suite's lag tester, PVM is raw input from the retro console and OLED monitor is through a Retrotink 5X in FrameLock mode at 1440p. Those two are usually my method for input lag testing modern displays.

I bought an LG C1 55'' a year ago and love it. Literally the best monitor I ever bought.

@@jakeloaded1215 It's great! High PPI =/= better. More screen real estate and being able to read text easier are more important. Smaller PPI requires more upscalling to read text which cuts into the screen real estate and kind of eliminates the purpose of a higher resolution anyway. Before I had the 55'' C1 I was using a 27'' 1920x1080 screen so it's pretty close to the same PPI as my previous screen.

I’m sorry Oled is the only option. Also end to end latency on a 240hz Oled panel is lower then 360hz monitors

The color fringing on the AW only occurs on text; this is not usually in-game (if ever) but in Windows due to ClearFonts. There are fixes now for this. Anyone expecting $500 OLED panels any time soon is kidding themselves, lets just accept the fact that OLED is expensive BUT worth it.

A few days ago I was in an MM branch in Munich, there was a 77" OLED model 2022 for exactly €2000 + optional €100 for calibration. Why should I pay €1300 for a monitor with so many quirks and yet everyone pauses 4 hours? No, I will not return my first purchased LG34GN850-B and I will wait...

I have a budget 1080p 144hz. The black levels are so bad I can barely play Minecraft at night… Definitely getting the Alienware QD oled. Maybe I should wait for the 2nd gen one?

I have an OLED C1 foe regular viewing and I convinced my soon to be brother in law to get a 45 inch LG C1 as his gaming screen for his 3080ti rig. And he absolutely LOVES the difference from his previous 1440p monitors. When I get my PC built, I'm likely going to use my C1 as well. We both agree this is the best way to game, period.

what 4k game can u play at 200 fps ????

I love my 42 inch C2 honestly. It gets plenty bright. If you have to have a higher refresh then I get it, but for media work/gaming my C2 is simply epic.

So we should wait until 2024 to purchase an oled monitor? I purchased the dell/Alienware 34 inch oled and one for my wife. We love it!! It’s not too big and not too bright. The price was great as well as there are 4k hdr monitors such as the neo G8 that cost so much more than this beautiful and fast beast.

I love Oled but thats because I replace it ever 2 years since burn-in and screen brightness fading becomes too much for me after that time.

As someone who wants 32" not 27", and flat not curved, I'm already looking at $900 at the bottom end. The market is stupidly lacking in diversity above 27" and below 42".

OLED burn in will be much worse than people realise, if you are an normie playing games 2 hours a day OLED is for you, if you are an hardcore gamer that plays 14+ hours a day OLED is not for you.

Gotta go easy on that bass, not sure if it's being deliberately boosted, but if not, it needs to be deliberately tweaked and reduced

I have 2 42“ as monitors 😅 I love it! I work from this set up 3 days a week (2days im in the office) and it’s absolute heaven to work on! for gaming i usually only use one screen except for ms flight sim and sim racing, where dual 42“ looks like real life 😅

After going with the c1 I haven't gone back to monitors I even upgraded to c2

i can agree since the oled screen on my phone has the taskbar n keyboard baked into the screen + i love my acer Predator XB3 27" IPS 1080p FHD 280Hz G-Sync Gaming Monitor way better

I'm running a 55 lg g1 oled and a 4090 and it's incredible. 4k 120 hdr COD baby over 200 fps at ultra. Loving this TV.

The tv is 120Hz so you're not getting any benefit of frame rates higher than than 120.

Actually you do get a benefit. you have less latency and less input lag with higher fps even tho your only seeing 120 hz.
