well the Grenade featured here was the Russian RGD-5, which has 110grams of TNT inside it... nearly double what the US pineapple one has. And he wasn't exactly on 'concrete', he was on a tin roof of what looked like a Sheet-metal extension built around the cave mouth. the RGD-5 has a nearly 11m blast-range (just form the tnt) and that little metal structure was less than 3 wide.

Well they weren't the hostages these guys are trying to rescue. These are a family of Russian Arms dealer, the father was supposed to be their primary target of elimination but things went South real quick. The real hostage was a CIA officer in that house.

I threw a grenade before and i can tell you that grenade only causes a loud bang and if you are close to it you have higher chance of getting injured then just dying due to shrapnel and there are so many medal of honor recipient that jumped on top of a grenade to save other survived and got injured due to shrapnel

i actually like that. this reminds me of the time of Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield 3 when movies in cinemas actually had balls and men were allowed to be badass the action is defenitely well done. Some things are not making sense, but thats ok, for the sake of making the action more cinematic. i like that

Listen. Is this movie realistic? Certainly not when it comes to military rules and regulations and technicalities. But watching as a civilian who never served? I think it's good entertainment. Drama, action, gorgeous cinematography and sound design, and a mythic approach to showing the heroism and insane skill level of CAG operators (to be honest, I think in reality they probably would have killed everyone in that compound before they could be captured or killed) and the JTAC. It's been a fun movie to rewatch on weekends over the past couple months after a few beers and an edible. I think the film is underrated as a descendant of flicks like Die Hard and Predator - it ain't Saving Private Ryan and it ain't trying to be. If you can turn off the parts of your brain that care about getting all the technicalities correct, I'd argue it's worth the watch. Some nice twists and turns.

People complaining that grenades don't destroy concrete structures - you are correct. But that was a pile of bricks stacked outside a cave. Huge, HUGE difference. They might be decorative. They might stack perfect to make what looks to be a structure. But it's clearly just pieces laid on top of each other.

This film is terrible. I had to turn it off after seeing the mixed shots of the Blackhawk and Huey cut into each other. It was worse than a bad 90's action film.
