What are these BB, HB, FB and AI Basis we will talk about those shortenings from today's clip.
Sri Lanka is one of the most popular destinations in the tourism industry. Many of the Europeans, Chinese, and Russians are traveling to Sri Lanka as tourists. Lately, because corona pandemic tourism industry and hotels are faced with many hardships. Anyhow Sri Lankan Government and Health Industry are managed to control the situation very quickly.
Now local travelers can enjoy their holidays in five stars hotels as they are reopening to the Local market with many offers and discounts.
Therefore we will look into a few things which can be useful when you are booking a hotel.
What is Check-in and check-out - Check-in means the time we have to be in the hotel and Check out means the time we have to go out of the hotel.
Some hotels have flexible check-in and check-out timings. The standard times are 2.00 P.M for Check-in and 12.00 Noon for check out which means you have to go out when 12’ O clock in the afternoon.
When you are booking a hotel please give extra concerns about these check-in and check-out timings.
Bed & Breakfast (BB Basis)
With the name Bed & Breakfast, you can understand that hotel is only giving Bed to Sleep and the Morning meal. If I tell you in details, it says that for 24 Hours You can get the room with Breakfast. Most of the time breakfast serves as a Buffet system.
Then what they called as “Half Board”
Half Board means that you will get the room for 24 hours with Breakfast and Dinner Moreover for Excursion, what I mean is if you are traveling somewhere while staying in then the best option is to book the hotel on HB basis.
Next one is the Full board Basis when you booked FB basis you can get Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner for the entire 24 hours with a room
But for all the extra drinks and foods you get except for what they provide in basis, you have to pay additionally.
Lastly, All-Inclusive Basis which means for the 24 hours you will get the room with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and unlimited beverages like Alcohol, Soft drinks for the whole 24 hours.

I think half board should be explained correctly. If I am not wrong, dinner should be on same day of check in and breakfast will be on next day before check out. How can you have breakfast on same day of check in(check in time is 2pm), then go out for lunch (explore)and have dinner on same day?

Standard Hotel Check in time is 2 pm But if there hotel available rooms you can request Early Check in. Some times you have to pay additional charge for this . But its depend on Duty Manager.
