Well… people like this haven’t gone anywhere. They will always be here. Just continue to be the talented artist you clearly are! May it open up new and meaningful opportunities that you have worked for and more than deserve. All the best!
This is the kind of idiocy Diana Ross was dealing with and she didn't listen either and knocked won so many doors just like Sheryl Lee. Thank goodness for strong Black women like them.

Black male movie producers/directors/actors are the main one's who promote colorism by using White, Asian, Biracial, and Mixed-race actresses in movies/films. Black men don't want Black women in lead roles playing their love interest. This is why you hardly see Black male celebrities with Black women. TBT

No - now lets be serious and real. Diana is really no signer - she also slept her way through executives. That is the truth and you know it. Record companies can make anybody a star if they push their music and put a lot of money behind them. That is what happened with Diana - There is NOTHING great about her voice absolutely NOTHING.
She literally played a character based on Diana Ross and made history with that character!

This is why black women need to create their own cinematic studio. That way we can choose appropriate women to portray our historical figures. Represent black women in a better light and also we can create fantasy movies where no stereotype is attached, just a great plot and amazing special affects. It won't be about us just being black. It'll be about us being human.

It doesn’t matter who’s in charge, even blacks choose lighter skin over dark, in every culture the lighter skinned ones get the most of anything it’s always been like that, spanish tv rarely had National brands advertise now its all i see spanglish is normal and so has colorism just look around the globe if your white you are right, i love all people and this is the trauma that they’ve left us with, its a constant war since the beginning of time and we haven’t learned shit, all we can do is war amongst each other since there’s no common threat to bind us all for the greater good(survival), i mean when an entity foreign to us all is here to annihilate us, will that unite us all what will it take to unite us because one person at a time isn’t cutting it.

@@sylmen1111 I get what you're saying, Hun. But I'm talking about movies that are created and produced by ONLY fully black women. This way we can uphold a higher image of ourselves and put out movies that not only inspire, but elevate black women. We don't need men in dresses to imitate an overly dramatic stereotype of bw, or have voiceovers of black women or children done by white voice over artists.... We don't have to adhere to any of society's rules of cinema if these projects are fully funded by bw. It's time to change the narrative and take ownership of our image back. We are talented, beautiful, creative and magical.... We should be showing these lovely parts of us on a consistent basis. Even to the point that we maybe stop acting and writing for these other studios (white/black men), and focus on just ours.
Thank you. The world should know.
Y’all wonder why some of the greats die young. Some of us blame them for the succumbing to the stresses they were under. You never know someone’s life and the pressures.
