Don't Be A Twunt: A Negative Airsoft Guide On Being A Decent Airsofter

Комедия

What's It Like Working In Airsoft?
Working in airsoft, like any job, can be very taxing - here's how to NOT BE THAT GUY.
This video was quite bit & so I've had to shrink the screen size ao that YT wouldn't give me any guff.

I can personally say that Luke is a gentleman and a cool guy to chat with. I have purchased quite a few parts from him, and being in the U.S. it can be a real pain in the ass with shipping, customs and so on. He gives better customer service than I get half the time in my own country. Luke takes the time whether you buy 1 small item or 50, it doesn’t matter he treats everyone the same and does the right thing. Don’t waste his time window shopping and asking 1000 questions.

My personal favourite is the client who asks for a detailed breakdown of the recommended build, then vanishes when the paypal invoice is sent across, only to turn up a month later claiming that you're a bad tech because they went and bought all the parts you listed, tried to install them by themselves with a sledgehammer and the AEG don't work right (also can you please fix it for them)

This gives me flashbacks to working in a model tool store doing mail order. We had one guy who refused to give us any payment details, wouldn't send us a cheque, wouldn't even give us their address and got pissed with us when we told him we couldn't do his order without them

Ahhh.......customers, used to be the BANE of my life. "Can you do this?". "YES, and it'll cost this much". "Can you do it for less?" "NO. I explained the costing in the first reply". "OH, can you do this instead?" "You're not going to actually buy ANYTHING are you?" . Customers......We get them in nerf too. I feel your pain.

It's a class in being a client in any industry. If you've been in the IT industry you know the line 'why are you charging so much for pressing a few buttons?'. People are poor and short with money but still want stuff done. It's poverty pushing them to be stingy. Don't take it personally, relay the facts, don't waste time and send them on their way if they can't afford it. It sucks but it is what it is.

I will give Luke one thing. He is very professional with emails. I asked him a question with the warhead motor; 2 days later he answered my question politely even sent me a video as well. I wanted to be extra sure on which motor speed i should get I told what my aeg parts were inside the gearbox, the fps/joule, the type of build it was and he gave me 2 choices and i went with one of them. What do you know it worked. Luke explains very simple for anyone who plays airsoft and don't. Luke thanks for sorting my issue out and being patient with me. You are a awesome person.

Having helped a partner with her leatherwork stuff, the quality people are happy with buying from India/Pakistan/eastern Europe blows my mind and the fact they really don't understand the work and cost of quality work is mind blowing. Larp and airsoft really seems to undervalue this sort of work.

(Usually when watching this kind of video there's one or two things to reflect on) I kind of want to make a longer form comment for a few things I wanted to say at specific points. Not least of which, when you said "Cringy, cringy, very very cringy" I couldn't help but hear it in the same way as "Naughty, naugty, very very naughty" at the opening of Eezer Goode.

Where I play in Sweden we have around 3,2 joule for bolts and 30 meters minimum engagement, and the other bolt class on 4,5 joule is 40 meters minimum engagement distance. We also have a pretty controversial rule where no disruptive camo can go PAST YOUR head, so any ghillie hood/suit etc, can only be used with a bolt action rifle. It was enforced because leafsuits being abused with silent HPA's.

Sins I commit: HPA, yeah I use hpa because I like making sure I can adjust to site limits and find them more reliable (less moving parts). I guess the pointer finger rule. Sometimes I use my middle finger as its more comfortable at the time but I never feather. Cams, heheehe I love the cams and I love making videos. I've got no excuse. Exsending on that, the cheater videos are favoured by youtube (I dislike making them but it does offer a catharsis on days that get ruined by them). The marshalling note is topical for me (both hit checks and favouritism) for it's been an issue at a site I visited and its make me more aware of how it might be affecting my local with me being used often as either an objective or "team captain" while these might have small or large impact on the game, I always want both teams to have fun so I hope this is why they pick me, not just because I'm both a regular and known at the site.

The dip-shittiest thing about complaining about getting your lens shot out is that even 40 quid Pirate arms sights (adequate enough, it's just Airsoft) can fit a 15 quid killflash that is perfectly adequate enough to block most bb's fired out of even a slightly overtuned AEGs at point blank and keep your sight nice and safe. Torches can probably be protected similarly. We're here to be shot at. Treat your sights and torch as though it's going to get shot.

on the felds in germany i was playing at the bang bang rule was only if you wanted to say it but you did not have too hier in germany we play with joule limits for pistols rifels and sniper rifels they dont care about your bb weight, we also get toled all tthe time befor we start that if you only show your head thats the only place you will get shot so if you dont want to get shot in the head show more of your body, we also have 2 rafs in the midle of the fild so look at the game and 1 in every spawn so if somoe dos not call there hits just go to one and tell them but dont scream over the feld, the feld i play as normaly also ask if somone is now and puts them in teams with regular players and if one team is to unbalenced then they get balanced we also get touled glases stay on all the time and if we reloade then put your gun at safe and put the mag out and if you have an aeg the clear the barrle i play with a gbbr becous its a lot of fun also got an evolution with full auto but germany only alowed full auto with 0.5 joules and i just got that gun for free from one of my friends to fuck around with it and i use your videos as a guide on what i can do and what not

@1:00:30 - We put a weight limit in place for ‘standard’ airsoft guns at 0.25 g maximum. The problem was an ‘arms race’ of some people jumping up in weight each time out until they were wanting to use 0.4 g (or higher) because ‘their gun shoots better’. This coincided with an increasing rate of minor injuries from BB hits, and those getting the injuries becoming increasingly angry about the heavy weight BBs. We capped the weight, and the injuries attenuated down to the occasional and less severe. Conservation of momentum applies to BBs, too. A heavier BB with the same nominal power will have a different characteristic curve of remaining energy at a given distance. In simple terms, at close to medium distances you’re taking a significantly higher proportion of the initial energy with a hit.

A very useful bit of advice for any hobby is, have fun yourself and don't get into debt over it. Don't feel embarrassed to ask if the store does a pre-payment scheme (especially if you're not very good at saving up), OK, you'll have to wait until you've paid the balance before you take it home, but at least you won't be paying interest, adding another £50+.to the cost, especially when starting in the hobby, that money saved on interest can go towards other accessories as you wan't/need them. I can't always say for sure if my BBs are hitting other payers, I may have misjudged the range, so I just look as repositioning myself, but this is all part of how I'm finding my game play has been evolving, having only started airsoft earlier this year. Oh, I've warned my lad I may shoot him in the back of the head if he keeps running off, but again, I'd rather he develops his own style of game play and enjoys himself, than stick with me and not play how he wants.

If the site says "ukara database entry is £10" or whatever the price or if they say "membership is £10" then they can charge it. But it's free to be added to the database once you have a membership number. If they charge, they charge... that's up to them. We never charged for addition to the database but we did charge for a membership number - you're paying for their time or an admin fee etc.

smokers, not all of them but it's not uncommon for them to behave like most inconsiderate a-holes. the event rules state no smoking on the playfield, if you want to smoke, in the HQs there spots with ashtrays, go there. people just ignore it, not only that, even on days where during the briefing it's mentioned "hey, it's been sunny and dry for a week now, no pyros/smoke grenades, for risk of forrest fires." these people will find the spot with the driest grass/leaves on ground, next to the driest bush in the sunniest spot and throw their cigarette butt there. not sure how big of a problem this is in rainy UK, but i've seen it several times in germany and croatia. especially in croatia if a forrest fire starts, hell's breaking lose, cause it takes no time to spread and set a sqkm ablaze.

56:54 it was me that sent you that question, following on from that I couldn't agree more about paddle triggers, stop trying to treat a trigger like your missus and finger it as fast as possible, just like with a woman just going as fast as possible isn't going to do you any good...

I have a question for you. I had a tech put an aster in my Ares (had to change the gearbox but that part doesn't matter) and when I took it to another tech after the airseal nozzle broke he noticed the wires were superglued in wiyh a fuck ton of glue. Some people say that it's okay to put in a small amount to hold the wires in, but I've seen you get anooyed about it in previous videos, so it leads me to wonder, is it ever okay to put super glue in a gearbox for any reason? May be a dumb question but I'm interested in your thoughts either way. P.s. that same dunce said to just put acetone on it to free the wires which I think is a very bad idea.

Hey negative, I’m new but a big fan. I was just wondering if you recommend using 13 to 1 gear sets, 16 to 1 gear sets or just a standard gear set when making a DMR build that I want to be snappy on semi auto? with an M125 spring. I’m in the US so FPS can be quite a bit higher, I just want to know what will do the last wear to the gun is it’s for a friend. It’s an m16a2 that I’ve fitted with a QCSS king arms gearbox. Standard everything and no mosfet at the moment. You’re the best
