Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

    Zach, there are after market kits that install a transmission dip on most of the GM and Ford 8 and 10 speed automatic transmissions. It's one of the top ten stupid ideas that has occurred in automotive design. Now GM needs to figure out how to make a beefy tie rod end for their pickup trucks.

    @@bachtomin213 One thing you have to remember with the Pinto and Vega is that when they first came to market, sold for less than $1700 for a base model. The Datsun's and Toyota's of the same era had the similar problems on rear-end collisions, but not that many cars were sold. As for the GM trucks with fuel tanks outside the frame rails, the Dateline show rigged the test to cause the fire. There are YT video's showing how they were rigged, and numerous articles on the settlement they paid to GM. Mount the tank on the inside of the frame, and you get the drive shaft hitting the tank when it loses a U-joint. Years before the tank placement on the frame on pickup trucks, gas tanks were mounted behind the seat. I've owned a few 1950's-60's trucks and they all had a smell of gas in hot weather.

  • @gungadinn

    @gungadinn

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@agentcrm The majority of articles written about the omission of the transmission dip stick have nothing to do with environmental reason, but warranty repairs. There are articles indicating that people were installing the incorrect fluid type. Well if they were refilling a transmission that was low on fluid, unless there is a visible fluid leak, the transmission must be getting extremely hot to boil the fluid away. Even sealed for life transmissions have a venting system on them. Why do rear axles still have a fill plug?

    Thanks for another great video. It was very interesting with you and ZK and Caleb. Zach, sorry you are not feeling well. Hope your throat gets better. Hang in there. Trust they got your gas leak fixed from your LP tank. What was it????? Your pickup. Not having the dipstick tube is a problem with Chevy pickups. Like your saying about dipstick engineers. Good one Zach. Trust they got it fixed. You are still blowing snow. Wow. You got a lot. We have more coming in Iowa tomorrow. My compliments to you Zach for having Zeth and Caleb come in. Zeth’s words about Sloan John Deere is interesting. Did not realize they were that big. Really interested they have a apprentice program for interested people. That is great. Really interesting with Zeth going over the tractor. He really gives them a great look over and items you do not always think to look at. ZK is extremely good at this and pays to have your equipment looked over before heavy spring work. Caleb is really sharp on the high speed planter. Need that good look over before using. Helps eliminate spring break downs. Pays in the long run to have Caleb come and make sure planter is ready for spring. ZK and Caleb ‘s channel is worth the time to watch on issues that affect your operation. Zach, some quick info about the race event you are going too??? National event I am guessing. Appreciate what you can give us. All for now. Sorry I got long winded but all is sure interesting. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Zach. I used to work on those large LP tanks. Those valves always seem to leak when it gets really cold!! We'd crank them open (or closed) all the way and use pliers to help seat the valve seat. Then come back during the summer and pump the tank out, burn off the vapor then replace the valve seals or replace the valve... Nothing like burning off a 30,000 gallon tank!!! Sounds like a jet taking off ;-)
