I made this vid during the initial wave of sigma memes during my station in Mississippi. I chose don draper mainly because Mad Men is my favorite show ever, but also because I didn't see a single meme about him as most focused on Walter White and Tony Soprano at the time. I adore this vid, and it's impossible for me to not think of it when watching the actual show; it's so ingrained in my head canon that I misremember how scenes play out because I was thinking of this. The comments on this vid kill me everytime I reread them. As funny as I think the video is, I think the comments from people not understanding this is all a joke and it's not real add another layer of enjoyability I would never be able to manufacture on my own

@@JamesNalacar I used to think like you but the problem with human psychology is repeated exposure of pretty much anything becomes a kind of truth or at the very least a subconscious influence. Hitler or one of the big bads knew this and there's a quote I'm too lazy to look up about "make the lie big enough and repeat it often enough and it becomes truth". Plus there are modern studies on it. And I can see it happening in the world - the effects are very apparent - young people start repeating things and uses phrases as if they are literal - things that I and my friends were meming about when we were kids, they now use unironically because they haven't seen the original content and don't know it was a joke.

I don't know about your knowledge of history, but Israelites did get the promised land. God never specified how that exact generation will enter promised land, so he didn't lie. And that generation would enter had those people not rebeled against him many times,despite God performing multiple miracles in front of them.
