I totally get the request for an autosave, or perhaps a simple "re-roll to last turn" button. I do savescum when I try out wonky stuff. I did save scum a LOT when figuring out how to use communions right. It's quite unwieldy. Learning the game is a lot harder due to the ironman nature of it. I too would like to have such a feature for singleplayer. An easy way to check "but what if I did this little change instead". I really don't see the harm in adding it, or why it hasn't after all those years. It's not like it's a technical challenge, right? Create savefile before end turn processes, make button to reload last turn. Overwrite every turn. Easy enough. Absolutely trivial, really. Would be nice if we got it someday. While learning never stops, I don't really need that feature a lot anymore, but whenever I do I get just mildly annoyed at the way I have to go about it :)

If you want you could just write a script (I don't know windows, but on linux it's like while inotifywait -qm $SAVEFILE; do cp $SAVEFILE $SAVEFILE.bak; done That would automatically savescum

man this has been a really fun watch so far, having it be a constant struggle makes it so interesting!

The AI has been so much cooler, just had LA Phythium push out 1000 dudes at me, low on mage support, but otherwise a very cool looking army. Lucid tech tomb wyrms made short work of them tho

Didn't know you played battlefleet gothic 2! great game! Would hope to see you play it some time. My fav faction in WH in general is nids but in gothic they're quite strange to play.

well if you got luck on anything, you got a much nicer starting spot than your competing water nations did. You got central right in the middle of the Kraken Sea

I remember playing LA R'lyeh in Dom 5 and trying to amass sacreds with a build all in on a good bless. It was a horrible overall strategy but my god they stomp hard before I died

Theres no way that liquid body being demon/undead is intentional, maybe they meant to make it uncastable by demons/undead instead

It's since been fixed, and now excludes illusions and spiritforms, while affecting corporeal units both undead and otherwise.

It's kind of thematic how much of an issue Raise Dead is, since undead are the main weakness of illithids in D&D

I assume liquid body was supposed to get the can't affect demon and undead tag.

Why did your greater otherness, which has mind blasts, rush into melee combat?

40:50 you have 1/16 chance to get an astral 5 but you also have a 10% chance to one more path 2.5% of these astal 5 are actually astral 6. In other words you got a 1/640 chance to get an astral 6. Not realy reliable but the chance is there or did I understand something wrong?

You're correct, but 1/640 chance means that it's literally a once in a century chance

Mighty AI's never really been a pushover for troop nations (whether scales or freespawn) IMO, but it does seem to have become nastier in Dom6.

That entire tangent of not being able to save and load is so irrelevant. You lose army all the time in strategy games like Age of Empires, both in singleplayer and multiplayer, yet that doesn't magically prohibit the system from not offering save/load. Zerglings die in starcraft, armies die in civilization, and everything dies in planetary annihilation, yet all those games tell you to rebuild and reboom while still giving you the ability to save your game.

People save scum a lot in single player when they are learning, and dominions might be the biggest, deepest game in the world, 10 years lucid was a content and multi-player fantastic so it was like a job to him and STILL he is learning. And it IS possible to save and reload in are and star craft, when you get good at those games losing an army is normal, but often losing an army is hell to come back from and often it is a slow painful no win situation when you don't know what you are doing, and games that are no fun you eventually stop playing.
