Welcome to Dominions 5! This is the latest installment in Illwinter Games' long-running series of complex, intricate strategy games based loosely off real-world mythology, and a strong contender for the title of Most Complicated Strategy Game In The World.
In this video we'll talk about boosting your national magic paths, by forging items and summoning mages. This is one of the most crucial concepts in Dominions - you need to boost in order to actually cast most of the powerful spells in the game - and figuring out what boosters you'll need to accomplish your national goals can go a long way towards helping define your strategy.

Amazing; just proves how bad I am at this game. The sheer amount of things to consider when building a strategy is ridiculous :D

Really liking these strategy videos definitely helping me get a better foothold on the games. ive played dom 4 400 hours at this point though I suck, but this is definitely something thats gonna help, thanks!
I find it quite funny that Treelords cannot use the Treelord's Staff since they don't have hands! Really wierd :)

i'm pretty sure it's named that cuz it's made from a Treelord, not cuz it belongs to one
I'm in a big pbem game and I'm playing Agartha and next turn I'll be summoning a Queen of Elemental Water. Also I have a mage who's forging a winged helment. Next turn he'll forge a bag of Winds and then the Queen of Elemental Air!
I think there is a mistake as Kings of E.Earth can't actually cast Earth Blood Deep Well, since they come only with E5 and don't have feet for the Earth Boots, so you have to empower or have a E5 or E4B3 pretender with feet, for the global.

Antonio Lo Iacono True! They can however use any non-foot booster, so if you have a Blood Stone or a Staff of Elemental Mastery they can use that.
I've watched this video like 5 times (it's helpful) and just now did I notice you meant the F/W staff, not the E/A staff of Elemental Mastery for Mekone... God I'm dumb.
Still seems relevant, it's hard digging through the research trees to figure out what boosters can get you. But in general having someone with level 4 allows you access to most magic in that magic path aside from maybe fire/blood for the higher level toys. If i'm reading this right.
Does second sun affect utterdark. In Dom 4 there was the spell for stealing the sun that gave you a reason for second sun
In what kind of twisted universe is vengeful water not worth it?!
Do you have any favourite mods you to schill? The sillier the better (Still hope Nationgen gets aDom5 upgrade, comcuering the World with my awful, crappy snakemen was a highlight of my Dom4 experience)

Nationgen has been updated for Dom5! It's functional, although there are some bugs - for example, it assigns elves a ridiculously high recpoint cost.

pretty sure the only reason anyone would cast second sun would be if Xibalba did their theft of the sun spell.
