I felt this way as well, I got the mechanics but couldn't figure out how to come up with a strategy etc. I'm playing my first multiplayer game at the moment and that has helped massively, I just watch guides for the nation I'm playing and try to emulate it. I would recommend getting involved in a beginners game as soon as you get the basic mechanics down etc. using the awesomely convinent discord bots

@@coolnamebro Awesome, don't delay, I always told myself "I'm not ready for MP etc." But I only had 70 hours when I jumped in, and I had only completed like 3 SP games fully (Ctis ea twice and ea abysia, I enjoyed abysia the most, but now I know mroe about the game I reckon I could try ctis again) and I'm playing ma ulm in the MP.

I started watching Lucid's Eador playthrough recently but noticed the channel is mostly about Dominions. It's a game I heard about a long time ago, but I never tried it out. I'll watch this video and see if it's something I would like.

Tackling a new player guide for Dom 5... that's really intimidating. So many things link to so many other things, as is obvious from your pretender creation part of this. Also probably why it's part 0, lol. Good shot at a place to start, I hope I don't learn anything!

Hey Lucid :) I dont know if you will ever see this, but i wanted you to know that you and a couple of other youtubers are the reason why i finally dared to try my luck in dominions MP. Together with a really awesome and helpful community i have now completed three games. Been close to winning two of them, although more due to the strenght of my faction, and your videos than anything else. I wanted to say thank you. You are pretty damn awesome

I'm excited to binge watch this playlist for Neifelheim! I've been playing this nation single player for years but I am still not so good. I always choose Dracolich awake with no magic scales but good nation scales, I max luck to try and get the heros to show up (Old Hag and Abductor). The early expansion is good with Dracolich but if he dies or I don't get the heros then I fizzle pretty quick haha, I'm gonna try your strategies next time around

Niefelheim was also the 1st nation i played, but i needed to watch a 40mins yt video on how to setup a game :). If i remember correctly the video was a guy and his son ware playing disciples game with Niefel and Helheim.

This video might become better if you create a script first to guide you through things you need to cover... There are some things you forgot to explain when you should've, like why do you make your first commander a prophet and what pop cap is

Hi Lucid. I'm a huge fan, I hope you know. But I think a video like this would be a lot better with a second person providing counterpoint to what you say. Make it again with Saquenay or someone, and I think it would be a lot more helpful to new players. Anyways, I've been playing since D3 and I still learned a thing or two.

Solar Eagle...yeah. I'm a bit too small brained for it. I don't know why but I really want it to work for Mictlan, but the bless options are just not that good.

for single player: improved casting ai (the sp version), worthy heroes, lucid s thematic gem gen, and ai no recruit

its so sad making an awaken expander build in dom 5 compared to dom4

gee, how much bloat do you want in your game? looks awesome tho not gonna lie.
