Dominions 5 MP: EA Ulm Episode 1 - 18 months in a flash

Ойындар

My goal in breaking down this game is really to focus on middle and late game diplomacy and play rather than early expansion, so for the first time, i do a massive 18 turns in one episode, using turns 12 and 18 as my markers to show how Ulm grew at first, and how it maneuvered as best as it could in order to contain the Therodian threat...only to have another threat appear.

Man, this is one crazy anime. Pangaea came out of nowhere as a world ending threat in the Universal Centaurs arc, only to be completely thrashed by a secondary character and forgotten by the next arc. Really seems like a filler villain, I bet he wasn't even in the manga.

Definitely interested in this format. Not as a full replacement, because I still like seeing battles and scripting etc. But like, one game done regular, another game done this style sounds like a nice interesting setup. Awesome job.

I have a bit mixed feelings when it comes to this new way of making dom vids. On one hand I like how the game is advancing faster than I'm used to, but on the other I like seeing all the events and battles. I think I need to see further before I make a lasting opinion.

I don't intend to do all games this way. AA will still be in the old style, this was just done as a way to get this game analysed quickly while the other one was stalled, and because I wanted to put more focus on the later parts of the game.

Love the format, dont have the time to look at 3x40 minutes to look at expansion phase... this is the optimal detail/time ratio for me. Keeep it up

Shows how busy I've been. I hadn't noticed you'd started putting this game up. It was a lot of fun to play with you even though I got birded to death eventually.

ah...back before the russians. People know you now as austrialian powerpoint man, but I'll always remember you first as the last unburnt Australian, from your ryleh and nazhca videos.

I'd like how this is presented. Doing an aggregate of just the diplomatic happenings in a game start to finish would be great as well. Although that would probably be a lot of work.

Purely talking about the format: I like the more in depth turn bu turn format A LOT better. I feel like i learn a lot more from a detailed turn, which is partly what I'm after (I'm here for entertainment too though). This format, i think, lends itself well to get an idea of diplomacy and game state - the higher level parts of the game. I'll be watching this one for sure, but would enjoy if the more in depth format remained the norm for other games. Particularly scripting is something I want to see and learn to do better. RIP Mekone. Any chance you'll play the Gigantes next? I feel it requires a player like you to figure them out and make them better. They got some nifty things going for them, particularly the repel potential is great early on. There must be some way to capitalize on that to get a good midgame going!
