I don't know how you'd pick up the Death access you need for some of these, but lots of Jomon's national demon summons have chaos and/or magic power, which fits your godawful scales :D

It's possible to get D1 remote/site searchers via summoning Bakeneko in Conjuration. They're pretty cheap at 8 Nature gems.

Mu needs to take that lake, to recruit shrimp-men from.

Pretty sure the scales have something to do with the low income too. :D Haven't seen any game with death 3 on a non popkill nation yet, so this will be interesting.

The scales kill the income, but starting pop is low too. TC's start location is sooo much better than Mu's with all those high income farms and high mobility terrain. It's really quite unfair. In some sense the hell scales hurt Mu less because his provinces have so little tax potential anyways.

How can you possibly lose with a lake named after yourself? Looking forward to this series Mu! Also any chance you could add background music to these videos in the future? Coming from the intro, it really does help the chill factor.

Leading a ten man squad is dicey, if an indy squad bypasses your ten boys then that priest is in trouble. No defence or protection so it's 1/4 chance per attack to see if the priest dies.

Katanas having 3 attack and 2 defence has always baffled me. I guess it's compensating for its lower damage for a two-handed weapon, but it still feels a bit much.

@@-Kidzin I think it's fair that they're disproportionately strong to what they are irl in the context of Jomon troops being kind of shit aside from having that katana. Maybe giving them all buffed naginatas would be a way to satisfy autistic historic nitpicking while staying balanced

Dominions is a game about mythology and the katana is a weapon with myths around it. Makes perfect sense to me. Dominions never has and never will try to model reality or history.

… or comment on the poor region around Jomon’s capital, while listening to a PS5 as before closing the video.
