When 2 opposing armies move towards each other the larger army 'pushes' the smaller one typically. Though there is still something of a DRN, and I also once understood that terrain matters.

Manual is not very precise on this scenario: "Likewise, if you give an army the order to move into an adjacent enemy province, and on the same turn an army in that province gets the order to move into yours, then one of three things can happen: ● There is a battle in the enemy province between the two armies; ● There is a battle in your province between the two armies; ● The armies miss one another and exchange places. Which event occurs depends on the size of the armies in question and the terrain involved." I usually treat it as 50/50, and never seen armies moving on each other miss the battle. In this Helheim/Bitra probability Ermor should lose in both cases, as in Bitra Helheim had additional mages and undead, and in his cap there was 40 pd to help the army.

@@TheForesterf _I usually treat it as 50/50, and never seen armies moving on each other miss the battle._ I had one game where that kept happening to me. I was trying to beat back MA Ermor, to keep them from destroying my population. But when I attacked them, we kept exchanging places. It was very frustrating. I could have killed them, if I'd caught them. But I couldn't catch them. (Meanwhile, my guys were starving.)

I didn't see H3s with Atlantis's armies, is he planning to teleport the monolith? That may be too slow to claim both thrones before the other players react. Also looks like he jumped the gun invading Caelum since both are two moves away from the ocean, he will reach one throne before the other.

I thought that the lighweight scale mail (that hellheim gets a reduction on) is actually already worn by the Vanjarls. I certainly didnt notice a difference it stats when i tried equipping one with it.

Poor Caelum, he just wanted to keep the power balanced and prevent a snowball. Atlantis is doing an all-out gambit but I don't think he can succeed on both.

Looks like Caelum is in near perfect condition to fight a war, and Helheim is probably the best to defend a UW throne. With easily accessible death mages that can be turned into infinite skele spammers with a few regen items, they will be able to grind through a lot of water elementals. Without constant gem replenishment, Helheim could raid away all the elementals in a few turns. Twice born the Death mages and you don't even need special gear to go UW. Although I think its only Poor Amphibian when twiceborn, its still an easy way to go UW. Imagine if those slimy ocean people actually win though?
