@@raqueladonis5374 I think he means he can't truly get over someone he broke up with and always keeps his hope that they might get back together. i.e. he keeps the door open for her, sticking his foot out, refusing to fully cut her off, something a lot of us are guilty of as well.

There is something so nostalgic about the chorus for some reason. It reminds me of early mornings when it’s still dark outside, and you’re at a gas station alone, nobody around, but you don’t feel threatened or endangered, it’s chilly and misty. Kind of like an early car ride to the airport. Streets are empty, it’s pretty quiet, idek..

i don’t know how to describe why i genuinely love this song. it’s ethereal. some parts of it sound like background music when someone slowly turns crazier and crazier, the ending siren-like noises improve the part of getting slowly succumbing to insanity, and the lyrics are probably unfitting after i said this

honestly, I don’t think there’s one miss on this album. Politics and Violence and Chicken Tenders were PERFECT singles, and going into this album hearing Vampire and Double Negative, even Come Here, was a treat. Vampire is easily my favourite song he’s released TO DATE.

I just got out of a relationship, it felt like the lyrics of this song, the music is my relief. I stuck my foot out for him but now he no longer has control.
