It reminded me that purpose could also be fulfilling. I thought about how you’d be obsessing over this stupid eclipse like it’d somehow change your life. I used to love when you’d ramble about mysticism and the cosmos. Magnificent and infinite like the universe, that’s how I once felt about you. Whoever you’re with now doesn’t see you that way. This song started playing and it’s extremely groovy baseline reminded me that if I stopped thinking about you, I could appreciate masterful music like this. Like I once did.

Previously I would follow up on this request, but this time, I stepped back and waited. Several weeks had passed and she never did. After swallowing that hard pill I realized she wasn't going to. I felt it best to unfollow and stop messaging her. I feel better now because of it. Good things come to those who wait. Bad things come to those who wait too long

I loved Innerspeaker back in the days, even went to a concert in 2010. Then I totally forgot about Tame Impalas existence until a few days ago. It's great to discover all the newer albums now, and crazy how much the sound changed from psychedelic rock to something much more experimental. Love both.

I've worked at a place in Braga, Portugal, a little coffee shop with healthy foods and things like that. And this song was in the playlist. I've heard this every single day, several times a day for some months. I never knew the name of the song. But it was nice to hear. It was relaxing, specially at the end of a busy day, when I was cleaning everything to go home. It was back in 2018. All the stuff that happened to me after that... I've lost that job, I've worked in Lisbon, COVID came, lost my girlfriend, fly away to work in Switzerland, found love again, came back to Portugal.. and a few moments before writing this I've finally found the song thanks to an Instagram post about motorcycles, my most recent passion. Man, this song really resonates with me. I used to have a great teacher for 7 years (knew him for 10 years) and in person he's a really sociable guy people really want to be around, he never demanded respect or anything at all, people respected him because he knew what was right and wrong. He lived simply and enjoyed life to the fullest and always so positive about everything... He always stuck his way of teaching, instead of forcing information in your head he would just present the teachings to you and you would be the one responsible for taking it in. One time in his class I opened a playlist of songs I listen to (since he was super laid back and enjoyed the student's freedom), and this song happened to play. I was enjoying this song since it was the second or third time I was listening to it and bopping my head to it, out of nowhere when the chorus hit I will never forget the time he sang along since he wasn't really a music guy. I had the biggest smile anyone could ever imagine, a teacher relating to a student through music. It really hit... He sadly passed away last year in 23 September, 2020 from Diabetes. May your soul rest in peace you wonderful person... Edit: Everyone replying is so wonderful! I hope for anyone who is going through a bad time can get through it, it's only a matter of time until good times will come. :)

It's been 10 years and I still think about her all the time. I was a summertime fling and source of revenge for her cheating boyfriend. I listened to this song when it had around 54K views. For a long time it had only around that. I used to think how come more people aren’t listening to this? But after that, within 2 years it really blew up. 54K really isn’t much compared to 188 million. I used to feel special because of that, but now don’t anymore. Makes me sad , but I’m really happy at the same time for TI too. He made it. 🎉 Lastly, I get very nostalgic every time I hear it. That time I was with the girl I thought was the one, now not anymore unfortunately. But the memories remain. The lyrics really fits the situation I went through. I honestly had the mindset of waiting for her to feel the same way for me again. And I waited for a long time, thought I’d wait forever. But with time I guess everything numbs down. Yeah. I hope everyone finds at least a couple of their happinesses. 🫐

That bassline is beyond epic.

not really, the bass gives the song its personality. You play the first few seconds of the bass, somebodys gonna recognize it, you play only the vocals, it would take a moment.

I love how when you hover over the progress bar, you can see that the most replayed is the beginning and the whole song doesn't have any big spikes because the entire song is just that good. The beginning is like the part of the rollercoaster that gives enough momentum for the entire ride
