Thank you for posting this video. I just started learning guitar and your channel has helped me write guitar loops far more than any other channel. Do you have any tips for adding a top line and changing the bass notes? I can come up with a simple pattern but don't even know where to begin with making the pattern more interesting. Thanks for all your help, you deserve way more views!

i will usually lay down a simple pattern while changing the root notes and then put that on loop. i will then improvise topline melodies over the loop. the best advice is to learn as many songs as possible on guitar and after a lot of practice you will be able to spontaneously come up with toplines.

Hello ! I just discovered you and you make great content. Glad I found your channel! I'm learning guitar composition, I already know my main chords but only in standard position... How do you know these differents chords shapes for example at 1:37 ? Do you know them, did you learned them by heart? This is the most tricky thing for me atm. Thank you and sorry if I made English mistakes!

I'd recommend learning the CAGED method. It helps visualizing chord shapes much easier. Here is a video explaining it kzread.info/dash/bejne/pKOKs6mEgLbHo9o.html
