If you release Ireland (or wait to conquer it) until after you hit Admin 7, they'll have exploration as one of their ideas and can colonize North America for you, which is a nice bonus when playing the Angevin route.

My man , you can beat shit ou of castile , and portugal at same time, spawn SPAIN(they already have explo) , then in 2-nd war vassalize portu , then beat shit out of castile again(2-3 times) (if he have PU over ARA , you take ARA as vassal with perk for splendor , that halfs cost of taking vassals) , and after that vassalise him , and give them all subsidize , TA-DA you have 3 colonizing vassals. (oh yes ,and beat shit out of denmark , and vassalize norway and sweden like you do it with ARA) so now with norway you have 4 colonizing vassals. Do you really need more?

Ireland takes so long to dev up it's economy to the point where it can really support colonies/exploration though. You really have to subsidize them if you want them to do it anytime soon early game.

What would negative aggressive expansion impact look like from the perspective of other nations? "Ah yes, the Angevins are pursuing their perfectly legitimate claims. Good on them!" (+X% opinion).

You can consistently win the Maine war with France as long as you can get 1 or 2 strong allies to promise land to, preferably Burgundy and Castile/Aragon. In that peace deal, you should easily be able to give enough land to Burgundy, which doesn't matter since you'll likely be going for the BI later anyways, and have enough AE reduction from the missions to PU France without being coalitioned. This allows you to PU France and still go down the British branch of the mission tree.

I think before switching to France and Forming Angevin, as England you should attack Castille and Aragon getting 15 provinces in Iberia so you can complete the "Kingdoms of Spain" mission and you can form Spain under a PU same as Ireland, even if Castille and Aragon still exist. This way you can get Spanish colonies easier and earlier. This can also apply for conquering 15 states in Italy which will then let you form Italy under a PU as well at the same time

I’m a huge fan of the gimmick of tag-switching while forming Great Britain/Angevins. My goal is to figure out how to make it work with forming Russia. The issue is that you’re stuck as Russia cuz you lose the English Parliament by switching culture.

This seems like an OP strat to form rome, IMO after you take england, france, italy, and iberia, forming rome just becomes very easy

Are these army templates very good? It seems like you don't fill up the combat width with infantry/cav (12/4 when 20 is the starting width and 15 later on) which would make the cannons take double damage. I've always seen guides say to take as much infantry as the combat width, but you seem to be doing well enough with your templates!

Most likely for gov cap (gov cap isn’t as important in non-fully cored provinces) so you can exploit that to get more land cored and integrated in your Empire

There is only one process to get new missions, and branching missions use that process too. The 'face the empire' assumes you will still be France, but if you're not you will get the missions appropriate for your tag/culture.

Wait a second, how were you able to release Provence from Maine? Isn't Provence the primary nation of Occitan culture?

He may have still had a royal marriage to Burgundy as they would have not wanted to lose the stability from breaking it off.

Very nice video with a nice aggressive strategy but I feel like you could go way faster if you didn’t return the cores to your vassals but simply gave them the land they have cores on (it gives less AE and costs less warscore to simply give the land they have cores on to your vassals because while returning their core you also cancel France’s core on the province so it costs wars ore and AE)

spam improve relation with all countries near you. game does not tell you that if a nation has +50 opinion of you they dont join coalitions. if they already did join coalition, they would not attack you and will leave coalition soon. and if coalition war starts that you cant win, you can always give away one or two provinces from france to coalition and couple hundred ducats to end coalition war instead of trying to fight. and get the provinces back later.

​@@spatrk6634 I think for them not to join they only need 0 relations. For them to leave they need 50. Also allying big nations always helps, I just allied austria portugal and a few other nations and it was enough for the coallition.

More than -100% AE should actually improve everyone opinion about you as you conquer lmao

The way you play, deleting forts makes no sense to me. You create a bunch of hassle with no control over the AI carpet sieging you, miss out on free income from high devastation, and face longer rebel issues due to extended separation/autonomy reductions
