I tried this in Blitz right after watching the video. First time, my opponent advanced a pawn instead of the knight, blocking my bishop and ending my dreams of victory. My second opponent fell for it hook, like, and sinker and I went on to a glorious victory over a higher rated player.

Funnily enough, Lichess suggests that Nc6 or Nf6 is also a decent way to pull off the same trap in a _subtle_ manner -- many take on c7...

I had this done to me but was aware of the trap, wanted to see if I could still win the game as only 2points in it, which I did. Players just be aware, making this trap work doesn’t guarantee the win.

More videos need to show us backup plans when we sacrifice pieces for a trap only for the opponent to detail it before it comes to fruition. They almost never take the bait so what's the point? We're just losing.

Once you get above 1000 elo less people fall for it but its cool to play if your opponent is inexperienced. You also have to do the strategy in the video which is to move the knight fast so it looks like you slipped up and premoved it
