Is it true that deposit insurance (a la Diamond and Dybig) is a free lunch (12:10)? Doesn't it incentivize banks to be less careful?

Kind of like what I said to Jordan Peterson and Ryan Roxie - go to Jordan Peterson's program for self-improvement? Take a jungian personality test? Nah - I think I'll self improve by studying how to do logical proofs, and learning a musical instrument, and running(cross country running is my preferred exercise; i don't exercise just to exercise, but to be able to run hilly terrain and, well, o.k. small mountains. Can't imagine running snow-capped mountains!). The future is coming, and these guys are oblivious to the worlds problems; we have a Palestine/Israel war, still, because they're fighting over the same holy land. Vladimir Putin is interpreting everything that isn't Russian speaking, and giving money to Russia as an attack on Russia and anti-Russian. Kind of like Ken Ham's creationist museum which says any scientific account of the bible that disproves the bible is an "attack." Then, they entertain James Tour who's doing nanotechnology to marry you to his religion. This is what religions do; they get you married through "love." Religious love is communist love. And these stupid people, Bill Joy/Eric Drexler, Christine Peterson, Chris Phoenix, Ray Kurzweil, Allison Duetmann, the whole lot of them. Where were these people when Mike Treder run up to Cananda? No-where - silence. These people wouldn't be caught dead in at a Skepticon; if you mention it to them; they'd wonder what that is!
