Immaculate articulation, which is critical for Domenico Scarlatti. Bravo, Scott!
Scott is an exceptional teacher I've seen segments of his instructional videos, He is so thorough, and explains everything in a very comprehensive way.I am a huge Bach lover, but this introduction to Scarlatti (!?), Wow! The phrasing of notes gives me a very euphoric, happy feeling.I usually transcribe most of the pieces I learn by ear,to my personal liking,Scott's interpretation, execution, etc....I very much resonate with deeply,So far I'm transcribing it almost 99% to his interpretive, expression,NO need to change much of anything at all! Thank you Scott,I see you from time to time around our area, You are a true inspiration to me.🙏🙏
so beautifully played. I usually listen to this piece on Sunday mornings when quietness rules.
Notes ringing out so clearly, and emotions flowing so smoothly and simple! Brilliant work!!

My dad used to play this on his guitar for me ever since i was little!!! Beautiful!!!
Superb performance of Scarlatti by a master guitarist and guitar teacher. I have for years been an admirer of Philip Woodfield guitars. They have a beautiful and refined tone.
Thank you maestro. I love you interpretation from this piece. Toraja, Indonesia
Wonderful and flawless rendition, lovely variety of tone and dynamics. Superb audio and video recording too.

Wish I had the transcription he's playing here... fingering seems a lot smoother and more logical than the one I have.

@@MiguelFerreyraGuitar The one I have is from Christopher Parkening's Guitar Method Vol. 2 It seems to be the version Segovia used to record this piece, because I can hear very similar tendencies from the recording he made of it.
Saudades de qdo eu estudava. Obrigado por me levar a fase mais gostosa da minha vida. Deus te abençoe.
Scott Tennant! You are AWESOME..
This gentleman was applauded by Andrés Segovia himself. My Respect.

@DereMemo Segovia is the most important classical guitar player of all time, even if you don't like his playing or his personality. He got composers to compose for him, a lot. Like Ponce, Moreno Torroba and Tansman. He made numerous transcriptions of pieces like this one. The repertoire for the classical guitar is a lot better and richer because of Segovia. You should thank him, instead of asking stupid questions like that.

@@banjoboy01 It’s a guitar thing in general- if the left hand moves horizontally while touching any of the lowest three strings, which have a wound-metal exterior, you’ll hear the fingers sliding over the strings. Guitarists work very hard to try to minimise those sounds but in some pieces it’s simply not possible to eliminate them entirely- particularly when pieces not originally written for the guitar are transposed for the instrument.
What a beautiful rendition. Thank you for sharing.
What joy to listen to. Many thx!
One of my favourite pieces ever. Beautifully played sir 👏 ❤
My favorite performance of this work!
Masterful. I am obsessed with your playing- just perfect!
That's Scott Tennant, the author of my favorite classical guitar instruction books, Pumping Nylon! I have all three volumes, and, let me tell you, it's worth it's weight in gold, whether you're wanting to play professional, or just remain an amateur. He's also a great player.

Funny(?) story, I switched teachers in the middle of college, and he made me play through the whole Pumping Nylon book. It felt like absolute torture at the time, but looking back, and having just seen this video for the first time, I'm like hey maybe he's on to something...
The Master! Nice rendition, superb. Bravo!
