Hi, this was interesting/useful. It gave me several new ideas for Asphodel. It was good to see some actual gameplay, and not just test it in SP. It is actually one of my favorite nations, but I haven't mustered the will to work on it in a long time. Thanks ! /Kristoffer

I can imagine it's a bit much to keep up with a full 3 hour long video, and I was actually thinking last night of making a shorter summary with clips for this live stream to be more accessible for people. From talking and playing with people these past years in Dominions 5 I can say that it's not just me but lots of people really enjoy the nation of Asphodel conceptually and often lamented that it was so difficult to play. Many mods tried different ways to rework the nation with various interesting ideas. If you do come back to the design board on it I am excited to see what you do with them!

I would like to yeah, for sure! I'm pondering how I want my format for it to go. There are a lot of tutorial and new player vids going up these days, and my style is not to do like everyone else does and find my own thing. So tbd

who are all the players and what are their channel links? the description of this video asks me to go check them out, but i honestly don't recognize most of them.

I used a personal mod in Dom 5 to make "Grow Fortress" a Nature 3 spell. Of all the nations that can cast it (EA Pangea, EA Oceania, MA Oceania, MA Asphodel) only Asphodel does not have a guaranteed Nature 4 mage you can recruit, and it makes a huge difference whether you get that second fort on turn 7 vs turn 17. That always felt kinda unfair. I also used it to fix all the missing tags on the manikin units (you ever notice that Ambicephalos doesn't have magic being? :D).

I can see a mod like that helping a lot 👍 personally I don't dont mind as much since it offers a bit more of a compelling choice for wanting to take Nature 4 or more awake on your pretender. Although if you don't it certainly makes getting mother oak harder too (as we see) lol And yeah I have noticed all the tiny bits of inconsistencies :) one of the funny ones was fighting a war underwater and lamenting that the manikin minotaurs didn't have spirit sight! I'll have to double check and see if some of those things are fixed now
