Granted there are certainly times that Dolly will refuse to touch on a particular topic. She does after all like to keep her personal life private and there are some things that she thinks people should steer clear of and mind their own business about. Fair enough Dolly. Fair enough.
In this video, we're going to address some of the most common rumors about Dolly Parton's life and career and we'll debunk all the ones that are completely baseless. Spoiler alert: That's just about all of them.

On a interview Dolly shared that she had endometriosis which caused her to have a hysterectomy. She went into a deep depression over it because she did want children. But she excepted it and was a mother to her younger sibling and many nephews and nieces. I never believed she had affairs it was just her image in her younger days. She always talked wonderful about her husband and he gave her freedom to fulfill her career. He wasn’t the jealous type and he loved being a rancher which fulfilled his life. She shares now what a wonderful husband she has and always shared about what a amazing man he was. Dolly has a wonderful life in her career and with her husband. Dolly seems life a very faithful woman and a very generous woman. Dolly is a brilliant talent and very intelligent and a brilliant business woman.

Dolly wanted children. The reason she went into a deep depression at one time was because she had a miscarriage with serious complications and was told she couldn't have children. She is a beautiful heart felt person. She has the best husband because he allows her to be herself and perform to her hearts content without any jealousy or control issues. She is too smart to let that kind of man slip away. Few like him!

@Radiant Siren LOL, hypocrite is a person with a false appearance. He was curious same as I was since the HeadLine, to capture the attention of many, was misleading and said "finally her husband speaks out." What is there to speak about since Dolly treasures a home family loving casual relaxed environment. Needs are few. The job that you love doing the most and a home and husand that truely loves you. Yes. That's, indeed what the title implies, which is exactly why Kevin is being hypocritical. If all that matters to Kevin is that Dolly is talented, then why did he feel the need to find out what her husband has to say... about anything? ESPECIALLY given that it's common knowledge Carl Dean is all about her private life? You're comparing your behavior with Kevin's, but it's apples & oranges. You're not calling ppl out for having the same curiosity as you, yourself have. Aka- Kevin is being hypocritical & you are not.

My brother met Dolly when we were teenagers. Dolly sat in her old blue pickup truck and spoke to my brother for about 45 minutes. She then told him she had to go to take care of business then she kissed him on the cheek and off she went. My brother was on cloud nine. My brother said she was the most humble person and was very sweet. My brother is deceased now as is my Grandma who was a very classy lady and another huge Dolly Parton Fan. Dolly I know you won't see this comment, " Thank you for being the sweet person you are" You are the best.

Dolly has always had an interesting sense of humor. I love it!! She loves people, and respects others in the industry. She has a magnetic personality, I imagine it would be hard to not be attacked to it. That being said, Dolly stays grounded in her country roots. She opens her heart to those around her. Her warmth is infectious and has a glow that shines on those around her. I think their marriage works for them, because they were able to keep their life separate from the rat race of fame. I personally knew someone who was not famous, but was accused of similar things. She could actually be friends with men. Although sometimes, if you didn't know her, you would think there was something going on. She was just opening her heart and caring for those around her. It was sad, but she had to learn how to reign it in, even then jealous individuals would still find a story. I am glad that Dolly and her husband get a life of their own and that he is willing to share her with all of us.

A lot of people who don't or have never been involved in music beyond singing along with the radio find it hard to believe that two people can sing a duet with such emotion without having been emotionally or physically involved mostly because music itself invokes so much emotion from the listener. If two people singing a duet are involved it does make the expression of feelings in the song easier but it's not always necessary. Personal relation to the story or lyrics is necessary. As a singer I try to make it a point to only sing songs I can personally relate to.

And what woman wouldn’t melt if given the opportunity to sing with Kenny Rogers! They were awesome together!! Whoever’s idea it was to partner those to amazing people with such amazing talent did the great job and deserve to be recognized. Their chemistry together in my opinion is no different than me going to work and having a coworker that I can really work work well with vs. the ones I don’t seem to gel with, like we just don’t see eye to eye. Well naturally if you feel happy and comfortable with the one you work with then you do a better job. Well singing is there job and they knocked it out of the park every time. And that’s all I believe ever happened! Dolly is a good ole fashioned classy lady, and Kenny is a man of integrity, and good ole fashioned morals and values, he knows how to respect a lady! Or lack of them! Of course, you're right but I also believe Dolly. She's a devout Christian so it would go against all that she's been brought up to believe all her life. With that in mind it's obvious that both her faith and her marriage are important to her.

Dolly is an absolutely amazing woman. She continues to "run with the big dogs" in Nashville & Hollywood and she does it with grace, style & a smile. I'm glad she's happily married to a wonderfully secure man. They flipped the marriage script during a time when it simply wasn't done; instead, they successfully rewrote the script. They continue to show generations of people that a man is not less of a man if his wife is the "bread winner" and a woman is not less of a woman if she doesn't have children either by design or by choice. I don't care if either of them had a fling; but, I will never believe that they did. Emotionally mature & secure people won't do that to their partner and risk, not only hurting them; but, losing them forever, imo. I believe the two of them are still very much in love. We should all be so fortunate to have found or find our "soul mate", imo and I hope the two of them have many more happy years together.🤗 Take care & stay safe everyone!

The one thing that always makes me smile is Dolly's wonderful girlish laugh, and it doesn't hurt that she's also a very pretty lady!!

I BELIEVE that Dolly is a beautiful human. I don't care if she had 30 affairs. The good she has done far out weighs ANYTHING she has ever done bad. I saw her in concert 3 years ago. She looked like a Angel 😇 on that stage so much I thought she would fly away any moment! She is one of very few female singers I really love.

I have always thought Dolly to be the smartest entertainer we have. She can change out of her stage look into an average American woman (and walk amoung us). We would not know her without her makeup, wigs, tight closes, fake nails and high hills. Keeping her personal life to herself is smart. Her husband is also very smart.

During the time Dolly was on the Porter Wagner show, she and her husband lived just around the corner from my house. My four children were all very active in the scouting program, so was forever" selling" things for their troops. The first place they'd always head for was Dolly' s house and she always bought anything they were selling ! A great and very sweet lady indeed.

She used to hang around, Elvis, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Reba, McIntire, Burt Reynolds, Johny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Kenny Rogers, what kind of memories of all these people and more she must have, it's hard to even fathom someone that lived through all that and looks like she does today and is still relevant in any of her projects.

I fell in love with Dolly when she 1st started with Porter Wagner. I joined DOLLYWOOD when it was still SILVER DOLLAR CITY. That same year I purchased a Timeshare AT OAKMONT RESIT. At that time it was the closest Resort to DOLLYWOOD. I got a GOLD SEASON PASS for many years to get first choice to almost all of her concerts. The First week of season, right after her parade. I was almost arrested following the parade as it went along . Bodyguards thought I was going to assinate her, lol. It almost scared my wife to death. It all ended well. That night Dolly gave me her autograph. FIRST of MANY. I vacationed many times in Pigeon Forge just to see her on stage or at her apartment above APPLE JACKS at DW. I had some really bad health problems, I got a get well card from DOLLY ♥️♥️. I also knew very early on that she was married. I saw her very handsome husband and her in Sevierville, TN. I still wish I could go see her but I am blind now. Love you Dolly ♥️ DOLLYWOO.
