Dollar tree is always worth the trip! There's an abandoned construction site not to far from my in-laws. The house being constructed was torn down and due to legal issues that lot is vacant and bare and will remain so for at least 5-10 years. I bought 4 boxes of DT flower mix during the first year of lockdown and sowed the terrain by hand. Last summer, that place looked like a beautiful prairie patch. From eyesore to asset for that whole neighborhood.

I absolutely love the microgreens. I went back today & got 10. The same brand elsewhere is $5.99. The expanding soil is awesome too. I'm waiting for my store to stock seeds. I haven't had any luck with the rockets. Thanks for the other ideas.

The microgreens looked decent but I was thinking it would be cheaper to buy microgreen mixes in larger packages from somewhere like True Leaf Market so I didn't grab any. One of my Tiktok followers got 6 rockets and they surprisingly all sprouted!

Girl, this was a really great video! I have no idea what I'm doing with plants but might attempt an herb garden with those larger stackable planters. Think they would work for that?

For the small stackable planter, get a small lazy suzan then you can easily rotate the entire stack.

I bought a dollar tree spray nozzle last year and it was fantastic. Multiple settings and no leaks. We'll see how it does a second year.

Can confirm that the hummingbird feeder and mectar are worth it and do attract hummingbirds.

I like all your ideas. On another site someone suggested buying dollar tree mesh laundry bags. I’m using them to cover plants outside To stop the birds from picking at my seedlings ( hoping anyway)

Dollar tree soil? I’ve been told to stay away from it but haven’t tried it. I use pro-mix all purpose for just about everything

I use the buckets as pots for larger plants -- I just drill some drainage holes in the bottom. They're great for dwarf cherry tomatoes and dwarf beans. I use the acrylic party cups for water propagation of bigger houseplants like Monstera (Deliciosa and Adansonii) and Rhaphidophora tetrasperma and decursiva.

I’m in Iowa so no. I would think all dollar trees put out gardening supplies since it’s a seasonal thing. They start putting the gardening stuff out probably in February around here
