I love the end result. I found that if you print on the shiny backing of mailing labels, you save the step of rubbing because it’ll peel right off when the medium transfer is dry!

Refreshing to see an artist post a video where 'things went wrong' and then see it turn out so right. Great tutorial. Thank you.

For photos, you should print them in reverse (mirror) so after you transfer them they’re correct facing vs being mirrored. For instance, in the original image and print out. the lady was on the right but on the plaque, she’s now on the left. Printing mirrored will result in a print out with the lady on the left and after the transfer, she’d correctly be back on the right side. Loved the shoe polish idea!

@@britegrl03 it needs to be the cheap, plain white printer paper so that it will dissolve with water and can be removed. photo paper would be too thick.

My grandmother had it printed many many many years ago… 🤗

Yessss you can absolutely do this with a real photo on photo paper!! I just didn’t want to permanently use my original photos. But yesss go for it with an actual photo 😍

Paint an even layer of Mod Podge across the entire wood surface. Place the printed photo face down onto the wood. ... Allow wood piece to dry for 72 hours. Spray the back of the photo with water or dampen it with a sponge. Gently start rubbing the wet paper. ... You will begin to see the photo showing through. I hope this helps! Happy crafting 🥰
