Ya’ll clearly didn’t got the lyrics, the song is about a dude who is trying to persuade Doja by making her cheat on her bf, but at the end she decides to stick up with her boyfriend, is not bad to feel like you are about to cheat, but is your responsibility if at the end of the day you decide to do it.

Right below them were two responses. 1) The extended version apparently heavily implies she gives in and cheats. 2) Only the video really has any evidence that she was remaining "loyal" (that depends on if you think emotional cheating is a thing or not according the comments) aside from one throwaway verse. Even after all of that, there is mention of "that energy when you are on top" which he wouldn't know anything about if this were just her heavily fantasizing but not going through with it.

I love how the song is actually about cheating, but that one line "but you choose loyalty" just hits so hard- amazing 😩

How I perceived it is that she already went through with the cheating since The Weeknd’s part was “When you're on top of me” which means he’s reflecting on their previous night together or something and “But-but-but this sex will cloud your memory A couple strokes to put it in, then you'll belong to me” which hinder on that fact that she will miss that sex that they had, but interpret what you will, because that’s that beauty of music, yet don’t come at me because my viewpoints are different than yours

It’s not about cheating it’s about someone that’s not meant for her and she’s in love with someone else and can’t control her emotions . Cheating is intentional Natural love is not .
