@trouvillx320 you NEVER brush it out dry. It only causes frizz/poofyness like in the video. You can brush it out when it's wet or damp, but you need to make sure to use proper brushes. I'm going to guess she used a brush made for all purpose or straight hair, when you need a brush specifically made for curly hair. Wet brushes are great curly hair brushes for a decent price.

I have curls and if you try heatless curls just make sure to spray a little water before brushing

I wouldn't have brushed them out. I would have pulled them apart with my fingers or used a wide tooth comb. It keeps the frizz down.

@@morganayon2160 It'll depend on the curl type (how tight the curl is naturally) and how dry the hair is, but a hair routine can involve a selection of products like leave-in conditioner, hair oil, cream, mousse, and gel (let it dry most of the way, diffuse, and scrunch out the gel cast with a little hair oil on your hands). This helps the curls be healthy and defined, without being frizzy.

Looked amazing, just one suggestion. Instead of using a brush, I would recommend a wide tooth comb or your fingers to spread the hair apart. That should help the ends from looking frizzy and keep the curled clumps a little more together. You looked beautiful for that party!!

@@kellieeastman5125- that was clearly advice from a naturally curly haired person who was being nice. Using a bristle brush like that to tight silky curls turn those silky curls into instant poodle perm. “Frizzy” was being nice, person was trying to say DON’T Poodle poof your curls! 😅

Ya that advice also doesn't work a well when it's dry. Anything that breaks apart the curls is a bad idea. Best bet while dry like that is just shaking it. Like, how you would when you take out a ponytail

Pro tip... Don't brush it. Comb it with your fingers. The oil from your hands will help parent frizz and fingers keep the curls tight while slightly separating them.

Right? Like take fingers and gently separate and shape it to how you wish not make it all frizzy and straight again like that 😭. I’ve got like 3C hair and one brush through it and it’s a lions mane 😭

No lies detected. I just started getting the texture back into my hair now that my firstborn is almost 9 and I'm pregnant with my second. Had to relearn the whole routine. Lol it was curly, then post baby first time it went flat, then wavy/flat, now back to wavy curly. 😂😂😂

This literally happened to me in college once. I went to our pre-show choir rehearsal in a sock bun and between rehearsal and the start of the show, I went to the bathroom and took it out, ran my fingers through it, sprayed it with hairspray, and I was ready to go. This girl who stood behind me saw me and was like “HOW DID YOU CURL YOUR HAIR SO FAST?!” And I literally replied “sock bun.” Lol
