Cute compilation, feeling nostalgic since I had one as a boy. Smartest dog I've ever had or personally encountered he scored as high as a dog could on the IQ tests( equivalent to a 4 year old human toddler). Ideal dog for children since I'd headbutt him, pull on his ears and general roughhousing not once did he hurt me, oh I miss him even though it's been over 20 years since he passed away. An amazing dog breed overall.

The French mastiff aka dog dogue de Bordeaux is an amazing animal. My husband and I really wanted one and decided to contact a breeder that was recommended to us. We visited them with our 2 year old son. The family had 7 French mastiffs, with one weighing in at 170 pounds, a male that was one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. They brought out the dogs 1 to 2 at a time. Being very familiar and knowledgeable about the breed I wasn't too worried and that says a lot because I was a very over protective mother. I think we ended up meeting every single dog and they were incredible. Ultimately, we just couldn't afford one and didn't have space, but this breed of dog if you can afford the purchase price, get it through a reputable breeder and can spend the time to train them, then wow, what an amazing dog you can have. By the way, if you are a Rottweiler lover, only get a male and introduce them to people, kids.and other dogs early. That will hopefully end up with you having a good Rottweiler as a family dog. This is just my opinion and experience. The reason I recommend getting a male is that I have been exposed to both and have friends that have both female and male Rottweilers and they are completely different. Female.Rottweilers have a more aggressive unstable temperament.

I have a DDB , previously had bulls. Great dogs but extremely formidable, not for first time owners though.

Got a Dogue de Bordeaux my self and just love their character and personality. When it comes to personality you have DDB and then you have most other dogs.

Totally agree with you, I’m on my second DDB George died at 9 Bailey is 3 on Xmas day at the moment he’s still on my bed a sleep!
